The Troll

I think the 30 cruise missiles sent to Syria, that didn't even shut down the  runways, a million dollars apiece, should have been used this way.      Each one should have been sent to one of Syria's power plants and put out the lights in Syria.

The people who live live in the city under government control doesn't know that there is a war going on.  Turn off their lights, water, air conditioners and their waste treatment.  Let them suffer a little.

Palehorse

The general citizens of Syria are suffering enough already. (Their plight is further exacerbated by this whole refugee fiasco going on globally, which is driven by their attempting to get out of Syria and escape the dangers and death).

Fact is, almost the entire planet is now stacking the deck against them by closing their borders and refusing to admit Syrian refugees.

That being said, hitting their infrastructure may be a good idea but then once the world puts them under we're on the hook for rebuilding all that crap. . .

The main reason the asylum seekers from Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan and Eritrea have a problem of finding some place to go is.  They are god damn Muslims and with their god damn Muslim religion, they are like putting cancer into a healthy body of someone else.  Or putting a rotten apple into the middle of a barrel of good apples.  They poison, rotten and destroy the place they are put.  Just check out England, France and any other place they are put.

So you're ok with mutilating female genitals, women being subserviant, throwing gays off of buildings or beheading them, men marrying children as young as 8 and using little boys as sex objects?

Typical white trash view of an entire religion based on the actions of a very small percentage of its adherents.

So you're saying those doctors, one male and one female, who were just arrested for mutilating the female genitals here in the states is not the norm?

Yes it is and that is why their religion is evil.  But we have some Christians who would do about the same thing if they could.

The Muslim religion is no better, or worse, than the Christian Religion; or any other religion for that matter.

There was a time when Christianity and it's zealots imparted just as much terror and death into the world; and it would again today were it not for the laws of humankind in this nation. (Another point of validation for separation of church and state).

When religion is provided the power to govern the laws of humankind, the laws of humankind become irrelevant and the perspectives of the authors of documents and religious tomes created centuries ago replace them. Perspectives seated within dark ages thinking and a mindset of the times within which they were created.

This nation was founded upon embracing our differences and the creation of a civilization free of the encumbrances of religion; with laws that nurture humankind and recognize not one religion, but rather the existence of a higher power that is called by many names by the worlds plethora of religious beliefs. The claim that this nation is a "Christian Nation" is a fallacy based upon the personal religious beliefs of its purveyors.

This nation is no more Christian than it is Muslim, Buddhist, etc. It is a nation representing freedom and humanity, or is supposed to be.

I view the insidious efforts to recognize ANY religion as a basis for this nations governance, an egregious act of terrorism just as offensive and horrendous as any act of terrorism that has taken place on this planet. It goes directly against the grain of the foundational intentions of this nation, and must not be allowed to progress.

Religion is a personal matter that is free from the laws of humankind only as long as its practices do not infringe upon the laws of humankind. Clearly EVERY religion has at some point infringed upon the laws of humankind from a present day point of view, and but for the enforcement of the laws of humankind ALL of them would be doing the same today.

Those who identify with the Muslim Faith are now sullied by the fact that some countries have allowed their faith the power to govern them, and had their governments overtaken by the extremist factions within the faith. This isn't new. It has happened many times throughout history and will continue to happen until every country on the planet learns to separate church and state.

We used to have it right in this nation, but if recent movements to change that are allowed to succeed then we are just a few short years from becoming Syria ourselves; and this we must prevent at all costs. We must not cave to efforts to have this nations government declared as being based upon ANY religion what-so-ever.

If we do then how will your views of the plight of present day Syrian refugees change? How will you see it when Canada or Mexico place an outright ban upon all American refugees looking to flee the death, destruction, and maiming of a war based upon religious perspectives you and your family do not and never have shared?  "That will never happen"? Really? Take off those rose colored glasses ladies and gentlemen, because the declaration of this nation as being based upon ANY religion is the first step on that road, and it doesn't take long to travel the rest of the distance to war from there. . .

"But then we risk letting in terrorists". ~ That risk is there whether we take them in or not. The fact that we've elected individuals to our government that are lazy, life-long, sloths is the reason for this. And the political apathy that is rampant in this nation is its root cause. Most of us don't even do our homework, preferring instead to listen to the lies and propaganda and to base our votes upon that. We are just as damned lazy, and one only needs to look at who is in the oval office to see that is the truth.

There are things we could do to help minimize the risk, but the fact is congress won't do them and if it doesn't bring profit to their constituents or to the Raging Cheeto's Billionaire Club, then its too much work and not worth the effort in their eyes. Yes, we are just slaves in their eyes and our safety and welfare, as well as our quality of life mean nothing to them. ZERO.

How do you think they'll view us when we are entrenched in a religious based civil war?

I don't know that I've ever actually said that but ok.  At least I can spell morals.

QuoteHell, where is your ethic ts, your morels...

Let's see if I have this straight...you are categorizing an entire religion based on the actions of a relative few of its radical adherents and questioning my ethics and morals?  LOL!

Quote...you can't be honest enough to marry the woman who you live with.

Bahahaha!  What century do you live in?  Lots of people choose to live together now and besides, did you know that marriage is the #1 cause of divorce?

QuoteWhy, because you are one selfish and greedy moron.   You're afraid that if she leaves you, you will lose some of your toys and dog.
