Long guns utilized by multiple individuals firing from elevated positions at a protest over the recent police shootings. 12 officers were shot (UPDATED INFO) and 2 civilians with 5 LEO's dead. 1 suspect is dead as well, and 3 suspects are in custody. *

I got very little sleep last night, this broke as I was heading to bed.....I was riveted to this.  My heart goes out to everyone in Dallas.  Very disturbing.

No, but it points out some of the logistical issues these open carry states face.  In an active shooter situation like this, where you have people who are exercising open carry privileges as provided by law, doesn't it become far more difficult to identify the bad guy(s), and thereby make it more difficult to provide safety for the good ones?

I cannot help but think that our POTUS who always rushes to judgement in so many of these situations, like recent LA cop/black shooting and the MN cop/black shooting....helps instigate what happened last night.

His constant speeches of racial injustice and police misconduct, only spurs incidents like last night, where the shooter has stated that he was targeting white people, especially white officers.....

He did this with Trayvon, and got it wrong....he did it with Michael Brown, and got it wrong....he did it with Freddie Gray, and got it wrong.

There have been riots and now, officers were killed.

Our nation is divided more than it has in several decades....

You guys keep suggesting Trump is a loose cannon, but Obama HAS INDEED proven to be a loose cannon, and now, innocent people has died.

He is to much of an ideologue instead of doing what is right.......he has also already turned this into a gun control issue, before these guys were even cold.



I'm so through with the democrat party.....and for what it is worth, the republican party isn't far behind.

Exactly why we need Trump!  I will shout from the roof tops until November.

It breaks my heart that these officers were killed. Yes, there are bad police and deputies out there but there are good ones also. I don't care whether you are pink, white, black, red, yellow or purple polka dotted, all lives matter.

  After the two cops were shot and murdered in their cars while of duty in New York City, the shooting by the cops stopped and the petite arrest of black people dropped.  The cops there must have got the message.

  I said to my wife the day before these latest cops were killed.  One day some army trained sniper will get even with these killer cops for killing black men.    I sure hit that one.  This is bound to make these cops think before they pull the trigger, 3 times, 4 times, 5 times and even full clips of 9mms.

This is the same garbage that every racist on Facebook has been spewing all weekend.  Obama becoming president didn't cause or widen any racial divide; it exposed the one that was already there.  The irony is that people like you who are so intolerant of other races are the absolute worst examples of your own.

Yup!  I hate to say it, but I've seen the exact same thing being spewed on FB this weekend.

They've even gone so far as to create an entirely false narrative surrounding Philando Castile saying that he was an armed robbery "suspect" who was carrying his weapon illegally.  When I watched the video of the aftermath of that shooting, I see abject fear on the part of the cop which I believe caused him to overreact.  Given the currently available information, I do not think that shooting was justified.

Alton Sterling, on the other hand, was a convicted violent felon carrying a weapon illegally who continued to resist even after non-lethal uses of force were employed.  I think in that case the use of deadly force was justified.

I am not disputing this one...so far it "appears" the cop was wrong, but let's wait on the due process.  Everybody was shouting that the cop in Ferguson was guilty, but due process clearly shows that Michael Brown attacked the cop.

This is another CLEAR case where Obama got it WRONG.  He immediately fueled the fire, before the facts came in....

Instead of merely waiting on the report......Michael Brown was a thug, and punk, who robbed a store, then attacked a cop.  The false narratives about "Hands up, don't shoot" was fueled by the liberal media, which led to unnecessary rioting and damage to stores.
