Yes. On a daily basis from November 2006 to December 2009, while several different crews were building my house and several others.

Now, again I will ask you: "You know they were undocumented? How?"

A friend's son had a roofing business several years ago. He tried hiring some Hispanic workers. Some of their papers came back wrong so he told them he had to fire them. They asked what papers were bad so they could get new ones printed. I'm guessing they were here illegally.

No you have provided information that fits your ideology.  Not facts. Facts are we had a boom that lasted 20 years, because of Reaganomics.  That cannot be argued...that is a fact.

Bullshit, bullshit and bullshit.     It's because of Reaganomics and Trickle Down Theroy that has cause of the money problems America has.  Reagan and David Stockman dream up the Trickle Down theoy and Stockman said after Reagan was out of office that they both knew that it wouldn't work.  Henry you surly are a gas bag :balloon: and a Turkey.   :hellur:

Again, absolute bullshit unsupported by data.
What data do you need/  Did you LIVE in the 80's?  Did you see unemployment drop from 11% to 5%...Did you notice that he had an anuall GDP of 3.7%?  Did you not know nearly 170,000 jobs were created every month under Reagan?

How is it humanly possible for you to NOT know this without an article telling you differently?

I knew all of these things but if Reagan did such a good job (that you claim continued through the Clinton years) why was George H.W. Bush's administration such a dismal failure (<56,000 jobs per month created)?

FWIW, during the 80's I co-owned a gold and silver shop.  These types of businesses usually do better in a bad economy as people are willing to sell anything they have of value to put food on the table.  We made a lot of money.

Six words sums it all up......."Read my lips; no new taxes".  He allowed the DEMOCRAT controlled congress to have their way and INCREASED taxes....which led to a recession in 91.

Unemployment went up to 10% in Reagan's second year.  It never dropped to 5%.  It fudged the numbers and did not count those not looking.

Show the data on the jobs creation, because Reagan allowed monopoly take overs to run small companies out and then larger companies and laid off millions of Americans because of it.

The GDP indicated under Reagan that inflation was occurring.

"The Gross Domestic Product measures the value of economic activity within a country. Strictly defined, GDP is the sum of the market values, or prices, of all final goods and services produced in an economy during a period of time."

Reagan didn't allow the economy to create jobs...he allowed for a "Free Market" which created monopolies and high unemployment.

Raising taxes was a way to keep down the deficit.  Bush willingly went along with the tax increase.

You're wasting your time.  These people lay in bed at night stroking themselves while fantasizing that Reagan will come back from the dead and let them blow him.

No one who ever took a post-secondary economics class believes in supply-side economics.  I was a business owner in the 80's and my perception was that the economy sucked.  Henry was a construction worker and his impression was that it was awesome.  What's that tell you?

Also, don't forget Henry was a Soda Jerk and he loaded lumber trucks at some lumber yard.  :haha:  Mind expanding jobs.    :rotfl:  You don't suppose that some lumber truck backed over his head.  :haha:  :haha:

That is crap!  He (Reagan) reduced it from SEVENTY PERCENT!!!! to 28%.  For ANYONE to pay 70cents out every dollar they make to the government is ASININE!

In FACT, the top 1% actually paid MORE of the federal revenue AFTER they cut their taxes.........so, you guys can say what you will.......but the REAGAN TAX CUTS was the BEST thing to happen to the US economy in HISTORY.

The Reagan tax-rate reductions increased tax revenues from $500 billion to $1 trillion by the end of the 1980s.

Spending was CLEARLY the problem and both parties are extremely guilty.

He also raised taxes a few times (because revenues didn't match expectations) by eliminating loopholes.

He also tripled the deficit.
