I was just reading an article on evangelical support for Trump an this quote struck me as dead on: "Growing up in church does a real number on your ability to detect empty promises."
Arguing with Christians is like playing chess with a pigeon.  No matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock over the pieces, shit on the board and strut around like it's victorious.

The truth is slow, but relentless. Over time it becomes irresistible.

Just look at the red state on the map :read:  These states have the most born again Christians.     Also have the most churches. :preach: and preachers.  Their religion and going to church all the time, keeps them stupid.     If anything baffles them or they just under stand how the world works, they just blame god :ghost:  I use run into a lot of preachers with the job I had and I have asked them if they ever had a religious experience.  Everyone said no, but one said, his preacher dad had one.  His dad was writing a sermon and the paper in the typewriter caught on fire.  :huh1:  Well, he said it happened, but he did see it himself.  :huh1:

The old old story repeated billions and billions of time is just bull shit :bsflag:  :preach:  :pope:   and the three ghosties  :ghost:  :ghost:  :ghost:   :wall2:

Yup.  But now in all fairness, this here is the NEW Christian peoples...they rewrote the OLD Christian peoples bible 15 times now.  They jump on a verse in this here chapter and then go to a verse in that there chapter and cut and paste together one fine ol' "Love the rich, cuz God loves the rich and even Jesus lived off his gold."

You aint' playing with Real christians..these guys was made from the for profit preacher men who struck a deal with the repubilcan party to get guvment money and they'd give them the vote.

In the early 1970's, the evangelicals moved into my town of Waterloo, Iowa and set up a church they quickly fed into the local TV.  They brought in all kinds of out of state "perty" people to recruit young people to come to the church.  I was already soured on the born again idea as it had taken over my Lutheran church.  But this guy was in town setting up this wholly new church.  I lived with three of the girls who were part of the church.  One night, they were all going to go out and discuss the Bible. Being naive and stupid...at the time, Palehorse.......I went with them and started talking about the Christian ideals in the bible...they got all quiet and left and then called their preacherman who told them to stay away from me because I was possessed.....

The church is still there....it's been even brought to light on the political scene..it's where Michelle Bachmann went to church....
