How are faith based monies bringing more pedophiles into your community?

Through funds from HHS to rehabilitate the pedophile.  I will get you an example.  My county has almost 900 registered pedophiles and in Indiana, you are not required to register.

Some may not agree with me, but I'm not so sure sexual predators like pedophiles can be successfully rehabilitated.

I think we've had some discussions along those lines around here before.

I agree....not sure what you do, but pen them up for the rest of their lives...(or worse).....we cannot allow them the opportunity to hurt a child.

Most psychologists agree with you.  Just like the phoniness of the pray away the gay program, these churches rob the secular tax dollars for bogus money.  It should be stopped.  Need to get my grandson.  Will get you the info later.  BTW, you can't find these funds readily.  They are well hidden.

Okay, I'm not a big fan of most churches.  I don't attend any longer.  I got tired of churches spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on Audio/Video equipment, sound systems, and top notch musical instruments, to ENHANCE the Church experience.....instead of doing what God led them to do and that is being a light and beacon for the weak and weary in their communities....and winning souls.

With that being said, there are STILL a great number of very good churches that give MILLIONS of $$$$ every year to feed and clothe the homeless all over the world.

So I think as long as Churches can prove they are spending money like they are supposed to, I am okay with the tax status on them.

Churches have to do financial reports just like any non profit has to do. Unless it is some fly by night church all churches have a finance committee and do financial reports for the members to see. For one to make claims that churches don't report financial statuses or reports is bogus.

I'm not saying that.
I'm just saying as far as Churches & Taxes.......I think as long as they are doing what they are "supposed" to be doing.....then NO TAXES.  But, if they are spending the majority of its revenue on Sound Systems and fancy Coffee Shops and Work Out Spa's.....then, they should pony up.

You weren't but another poster is making bogus claims that churches have hidden financial stuff going on.  Personally, I think churches should pay taxes.

I'm with you kind of, like I said, if they are buying elaborate AV, Sound, Spa, Coffee crap stuff...then they should pony up.......if they are spending on the their community and missionary stuff....then tax free.

Everything you stated is not true.  A simple Google would have shown that if you weren't lazy and so prone to making up crap to suit your conspiracies.

Zachary's Law

In 1994, Indiana adopted a law that requires offenders convicted of certain child sexual assault offenses to register with all local law enforcement authorities in the communities where they live for 10 years following their release from custody, probation, or parole.

Churches are modern cults aimed at brainwashing.

Their political involvement - if nothing else - should preclude their tax exempt status.

Government should not be in the business of subsidizing ANY religion.

You're right, but assigning my motive is completely off.  You don't know me, Y, so your assessment of me neither hits the mark or even tries to.

FROM your database, it is shown.

QuoteOur database shows there are 321 registered Violent or Sex Offenders in Madison County, IN, a ratio of 24.63 Violent or Sex Offenders per 10,000 residents. This is higher than the national average of 15.25 Violent or Sex Offenders per 10,000 residents. Records indicate there are 738 incarcerated Violent or Sex Offenders in Indiana, as well as 340 offenders whose location is unknown in Indiana due to the Violent or Sex Offenders being transient or their address being unmappable.

As to registering, my information shows it differently.

http://www.in.gov/idoc/3285.htm

QuoteThe violent offender law requiring registration and a registry of violent offenders is unconstitutionally retroactive under the Indiana Constitution as applied to violent offenders who committed their offenses in Indiana before the date the law went into effect, July 1, 2007, except insofar as the persons are required to register as a current condition of probation or parole.

If you have been classified as violent offender as a result of committing the offense in Indiana prior to July 1, 2007, and you are not currently required to register as a condition of probation or parole, the Indiana Department of Correction has been ordered to remove your name and all information concerning you from the sex and violent offender registry, unless you are convicted of other offenses that allow you to be currently classified as a sex or violent offender. This will be done automatically unless the Department of Correction cannot determine when the person committed the offense or whether he or she is required to register as a condition of probation or parole. If this occurs, the individual will receive a notice at his or her last known address with instructions as to how to contact the Indiana Department of Correction.

No where does it show where the current law REQUIRES you to register.  Did you see it and I missed it?  Again, if you can't respond without being this ahole who thinks it is so important to attack my character, don't respond...as I won't respond back to one more instance of this.

Every sex offender has to register regardless where they live. As usual you make statements without backing it up with facts.
