I read the article before you did Hank.  I was the one that posted it originally.

Their intent, to be as brief and succinct as possible, is to:

1. Establish a caliphate.
2. Bring about the apocalypse as is depicted in the Koran.

Neither of these makes them an existential threat to this country.  They wouldn't even be giving us a second thought if we weren't over there dropping bombs on them.

A link to that article was posted here months ago.  Did you bother to read it because it actually supports what Locutus and I stated:

"But its threat to the United States is smaller than its all too frequent conflation with al-Qaeda would suggest. Al-Qaeda's core is rare among jihadist groups for its focus on the "far enemy" (the West); most jihadist groups' main concerns lie closer to home. That's especially true of the Islamic State, precisely because of its ideology. It sees enemies everywhere around it, and while its leadership wishes ill on the United States, the application of Sharia in the caliphate and the expansion to contiguous lands are paramount.'
Arguing with Christians is like playing chess with a pigeon.  No matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock over the pieces, shit on the board and strut around like it's victorious.

The truth is slow, but relentless. Over time it becomes irresistible.

^^  Read that HH.  It's exactly what I said in my post above.

Thanks Ex for pulling that that out of the article.

I don't see the Swedish, British, or Germans dropping bombs on them and look what they're doing there.

Are you two really that uninformed, or are you just trolling?   Sometimes, I really don't know.

Germany joins fight against ISIL

Britain carries out airstrikes

What have they done to the Swedes, other than some threatening letters?

I'm not sure about that, but if you can find a link, I'll be glad to read it.
