  Browned pork and extra wide German noodles.  Brown the pork steak really good, pressure cook and add noodles.

  This one is for you, Sandy Eggo.  I got this recipe off the internet some time back and I modified is a small amount.  This is a slow cooker recipe, 6 to 8 hours on low.

  1 large head of cabbage so you will get more large leaves and put leaves in boiling water until you can roll them, without them breaking.  Cooking them too much and they fall apart.

  1/2 pound of ground pork

  1 pound of lean ground beef

  I/4 cup of chopped onion.  I chop mine fine.

  1 cup of rice.  I use short grain.

  1 egg beaten.

  1 table spoon of salt.  I use Kosher.

  1/2 teaspoon of pepper.  I use fresh ground.

  1 table spoon of paprika.  I use a little less than I/2 of a tablespoon.  I don't like paprika flavor that well.

  2 cup of sauerkraut, rinsed and drained.

  2 cups of tomato juice.

  1 cup of water.

  1 cup of sour cream.

  Combine ground meats, chopped onion, rice, egg. salt. pepper and paprika.  Put about 2 tablespoons of this meat on each leaf.  Fold sides in and roll up.  Secure rolls with tooth picks, if desired.  Place rolls seam side down in crockpot.  Spread the sauerkraut over the rolls and add tomato juice and water.  Cook on low, covered for 6 to 8 hours.

  Remove cabbage rolls to a warm platter.  Blend 1/2 cup of broth with the sour cream and pour over cabbage rolls.

  I thought they were good and they froze well vacuum packed.  Eat one for me.  I think they are   Cooking in the Hole with Chief Troll
