Sandy: Sounds good -- order me up a couple! Living in central Indiana, you are pretty much out of luck vis-a-vis ethnic foods, although the influx of Hispanics has made authentic Mexican and Tex-Mex dishes available to us cretins raised on the likes of Taco Bell. Can you imagine a fat Hoosier mama stuffing a lumpia slathered with ketchup down her gaping maw?   :icon_twisted:  As for me, can I have mine with a side order of carne asada and steak fries? ROFL, while drooling.
Thanks for enlightening me; maybe I'll have a chance to try lumpia some day, somewhere.

There' s HUGE difference between americianized Mexican food and the real thing, huh? I've always liked Mexican food or thought I did until I moved to California where you have a mom and pop taco stand on just about every street...I found out that I love Mexican food. The smell of a fresh corn tortilla on the griddle makes my mouth water :biggrin: This morning, I had toast and coffee.

Oh yes, I agree 100%. Once you've had the REAL thing it makes Taco Hell, Chi-Chi's, and the rest nothing but a bunch of hash slingers!  :smile:
