No, she didn't even comment when she handed me the bag. She placed it on the counter and walked off.

IMO.... how she acted is unacceptable. That is NO way to treat a customer.  She should have given you a drink on the house, and when she handed you your food, she should have apologized to you, because you had to wait.   This is the closing I would have, and have had to use.

"Here you go... so sorry for the wait.... you have a nice day... Thank you." That's how I do it everytime.  I treat my customers with the respect, I would want to be treated with.

Breaded tenderloin and mushrooms and chased them with a frosted mug of root beer....   Yipee Gene's Root Beer Stand is open!!!!!!!

I have to say that type of service is uncommon here. There were places in Baltimore city and even the suburbs where that was more common, but here...normally service is very friendly. I'm guessing she was tired, but if I get poor service there again, I'll report it. I used to do customer service training for a management company that owned hotels on the east coast. Every so often I'd travel from hotel to hotel and do the training for all hotel staff, including F & B, so that kinda thing really irks me too.

You can use any type of meat but I used hamburger last night and put onion, bell pepper, mushrooms, potato's, or what ever else strikes your fancy, into some heavy duty aluminum foil and cook it on the grill on low or hot charcoal for about 45 min. turning halfway through.  I just make kind of a long patty with the hamburger and kind of smash the middle down to make sides and put the onion in first then the mushrooms and bell peppers then the 'taters and slap a couple pats of butter on that, salt and pepper of course and wrap it.  Try to wrap it so the juice don't run out but thats easier said than done, for me anyway...lol
