Although like Kim mentioned, I have no qualms about picking a lobster out of a tank and have done it more than a few times in the past.

I couldn't stand to eat something that was looking at me . You know like at Red Lobster, when you pick out your own . I don't go to Red Lobster, some of my friends think I'm crazy, but I just can't do it. At grocery store I shop at, they have the live lobsters. There have been many a time, I thought about smashing the tank, and setting them free. Free Larry!!!!!

When you do that let me know!  I'll be in the parking lot with a bag and tongs waiting for Big Bubba to crawl his $30 butt outside!

Yes and the octopus would be hiding!!!! Sad when your mom takes you to an aquarium as a kid and when she says "look an octopus!" you immediatly think of dinner!

This reminds me of when we went to one of the beaches here and you can walk out on the mussel beds and everyone was talking about how cool it was, which it was, but I was picturing garlic and butter.

There's a steak restaurant in Durham, NC (maybe Raleigh) where you don't pick out your steak, but the cattle that will become steaks are roaming around behind the restaurant. You may not pick it out of the pen, but you're sure eatin' a family member.

It's always darkest before the dawn.  So if you're going to steal your neighbor's newspaper, that's the time to do it.

Don't worry Dex.  The sashimi I ate wasn't looking at me beforehand.
Thank God!!!! I don't know what it is, but something about those little beady eyes just bothers me. Heck, when I find a spider in the house, I dont have the heart to kill it. Sometimes I scoop'em up on something and throw'em outside. I have seen my cats torture small bugs for long periods of time. I just let'em have'm. It keeps them entertained and outta my hair LOL!!! Cats love to torture bugs and small rodents. Some times I think they may be Sadists.  :icon_twisted:

You can get a good look at a T bone,  by sticking your head up a bulls ass, but wouldn't you rather take the butchers word for it. Gooooo Tommy Boy!!!

You might be thinking of the Angus Barn but there are no cows there.  However a little further down the road in Cleveland, NC there is a steak house that does have the cows and the catfish ponds out front!  Been there and done that!

Really? The place I'm thinking of has the slaughter house right on the property. I was visiting the area (Raleigh/Durham) and I'm directionally challenged, so perhaps it wasn't Durham.

Maybe the Angus Barn used to.  I'm not sure.  It is a very nice restaurant.  I have a $50 gift card for there.
