I wonder why Dexter is always having her food chased with liquid??

I personally tend to alternate, eat a little, drink a little,  call it washing the food down..not chasing it. LOL


I ate homemade chili last, and I'm not happy about it. Fixed a good half pot of the stuff then had to eat alone after 19 had promised to eat dinner with me.
Looks like I've come full circle.

I think I'm making chili tonight. Or bean soup. Not sure...

Chili ws good last night because it rained and cooled everything down so much.  If it had remained as hot as it was, it wouldn't have been a good idea.  Consider the weather when you make chili LOL.
Looks like I've come full circle.

This might sound weird but my ex's mom would make chili and a big pot of mashed potatoes.  She would put the potatoes in the bottom of the bowls and then spoon the chili over it.  It made the best meal!  And if the chili was too spicy for your liking, this helped to cut down the spiciness of it.  Just a suggestion.


I'm eating a mini pizza I made with mushrooms and artichokes.

I like the mashed potatos and chili idea. I bet my kids would actually eat it, then!!

:shrug: I like liquids. It's bar talk. You know like having a shot, and chasing it with a beer.  :biggrin:

I cant even think about soup or chilli, it's 90* here today. I had a grilled chicken salad and chased it with a Coke.  :smile:

We totally do the same thing!!! It is from school days.  My husband wont eat chilli without a peanut butter sandwich. :smile: You gotta have milk with it.  :yes:

I love pizza, too, but I prefer the "different" ones, like you are talking about. I have no use for boring old pizza. I like fun, interesting toppings!
