You "ladies" know fish maintains stamina. Can I fix ya'll up a plate of grouper?

Guys, I hate to sound like a glutton but I just got back from my in-laws and we had a family get together. We had fried mullet and grouper, cheese grits, hush puppies, cole slaw, and sweet tea, french fries.

OMG that sounds delicious. How did they fix the fish? rolled in corn meal and fried?

I haven't had grits in SO long. I've just been too busy to cook them, but I think I might have some tomorrow, now.

For dinner I had hot wings (made w/habanero) and homemade steak fries w/a beer.

It was delicious Mojo. My brother-in-law and sister-in-law fried them in a fish cooker outside. Like you said. It was great.... Your dinner sounds pretty good too. I have been craving a good beer lately.

Yum! I think Kimmi is jealous because of the delicious sounding meal and I am too. I absolutely love fish any way you wanna make it. As for beer, I just like the taste of it and it compliments so many foods.

What brand beer would you recommend as your favorite Mo??

Sandy Eggo

Corona, hands down. No lime (I don't like fruit in my beer ) I drink Corona 99% of the time. Although, I like some of the domestic beers too...Michelob dark is a favorite, but I can just as easily drink Coors or Miller...I also like Moosehead  and Tsingtao

You hit the nail on the head!  I LOVE cookouts, especially ones that have a big ole pot of oil bubbling and waiting on some whitefish! FSU thanks for the offer!  I would have messaged you back but I'm still a newbie!

A couple of weeks ago I went to Lonestar with my hubby and kids. I figured that I could find SOMETHING on the menu I could eat, but short of a dinner salad or cheese fries, I was out of luck. Aaron talked me into trying the salmon, since its fish and not "red meat" and not chicken. I've never really eaten fish, as I've never cared for the smell, but decided to give it a go-round. Surely it was better than a cheese fry dinner, right?

Shoulda stuck to the fries. I couldn't stand the fish, despite it's mesquite and bourbon seasoning.

Hey Stranger  Good to make a connection with you. You need to come down to North Florida and find out what  a real fish dinner is all about. That crap in a restaurant doesn't do justice to the swimming population. John.

Howdy!! I've always wished I liked fish, since its so healthy and all that, but the texture freaks me out, too. The salmon would peel in these perforated lines where I could imagine scales and gills lining up to make the fishy-pattern! YIKES!
