1,000 Year Old Eye Salve Kills MRSA?

London (CNN)It might sound like a really old wives' tale, but a thousand-year-old Anglo-Saxon potion for eye infections may hold the key to wiping out the modern-day superbug MRSA, according to new research.. . .

Researchers attempting to find a cure for this modern-day, antibiotic resistant / immune "Super-bug" seem to have stumbled upon what seems to promise to be a cure for the scourge. In a 1,000 year old formula for an Eye salve.

"Garlic, onion, wine, and the bile from the stomach of a cow", proved to be VERY effective at killing it. . .  :yes:

Sounds like an Italian dinner to me!  :biggrin:

I read about this earlier today.

I also read where they're injecting polio into different types of cancer cells and having quite a bit of success with it.  Any news of success against cancer is okay in my book.  :yes:
