Human remains have been found and her parents have been notified.  The remains haven't been identified yet, but I think we all know what the eventual outcome will be.

Sad.

Very tragic

They always kill the pretty ones.  What was she thinking, getting so drunk and being with someone so ugly.   :'(

Losing a child is awful beyond description, but if that is their daughter's remains, it is beyond horror to imagine what her parents are going through. It's too much to hope that news talkers and others could show some sensitivity.  :  Example: One news program today interviewed a man and woman on whose property the remains were found, and one of them said they were alerted to the site because of "the smell and buzzards flying around."

Troll, I have to agree with you but did I read where maybe her dink was spiked and she was so drunk that she didn't know what she was doing? It doesn't matter whether she was ugly or pretty, it is a tragedy!

It was told that it was her!

Damn. . . But I think we already knew she was dead anyway, and who likely did it. . .

Yeah, that's unfortunately true.  They'll fry that guy in Virginia, though, especially if they can tie him in with both of those murders.

I hope he can be tied to those murders and he gets what he deserves! I am not sure why a person feels the need to ever kill someone!

Has anyone heard any updates on this case?  I was wondering if Jesse Matthew had been charged with her death, but I haven't found anything on a Google search.

That's because the police are handling him very carefully until they figure out just what they have. The last I heard the police in Charlottesville and Texas had agreed to let the police here in Fairfax County have him first -- because there's "forensic evidence" that links him to a similar unsolved case here. I'll see what I can find and post more tomorrow.

Locutus, here's what I was referring to: I had to type it from my copy of the Washington Post page because the article and comments totalled 60  pages at last look and no easy way to separate the article from the comments, etc.

Jesse L. Matthew linked to earlier assault via DNA from victim's fingernail
Justin Jouvenal and T. Rees Shapiro
Nov 7, 2014

The man accused of abducting University of Virginia student Hannah Graham has been linked to a 2005 sexual assault in Fairfax City via DNA evidence collected from one of the victim's fingernails, according to court records.

The Virginia Department of Forensic Science's comparison of DNA taken from Jesse L. Matthew Jr. and the sample taken from the woman at the time of the attack concluded that there is a "1 in greater than 7.2 billion" chance the DNA might belong to another person, according to the court records. Such a scientific finding, which eliminates almost the entire world population, probably will be central to the criminal case against Matthew.

The analysis was performed late last month after Matthew's indictment on several charges related to the Sept. 24 2005 attack on a 26-year-old woman in Fairfax City, court records show.
