Arguing with Christians is like playing chess with a pigeon.  No matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock over the pieces, shit on the board and strut around like it's victorious.

The truth is slow, but relentless. Over time it becomes irresistible.

Even while using Forbes' obvious conservative bias to prove their points...

Yep, they're avoiding this like the plague.  Here's another of their predictions going up in flames.

Yeah, more for the rich!  I though you guys were against this kind of stuff?  The average joe cannot afford this car.

On a side note, I really like the car and hope it DOES take-off....I think it is the owners managment skills that needs the credit here.  The fact our government decided to GIVE this loan out at the tax payers expense is WRONG and is a classic example of Cronyism as you guys slam republicans about, at its finest....it only makes it a political issue, and it should stay out of it (the government that is).

. . .

The average Joe cannot afford most cars and trucks these days. Their prices are around what one paid for a small home just 15 years ago. . .

While that is true, the overall cost of ownership is lower because much of the maintenance associated with internal combustion engines is not necessary and because the fuel cost for the vehicle is the equivalent to paying $1.20 per gallon for gasoline.  Do the math.

Tesla has additional models in the planning stages that will be more affordable but I wouldn't expect anyone with no knowledge of basic business principles to understand an idea as simplistic as, "economies of scale."

QuoteOn a side note, I really like the car and hope it DOES take-off...

Note to the ill-informed: Consumer Reports recently said it was the best car they have ever tested and it outsold the Mercedes S Class, the BMW 7 Series and the Audi A8 in the first quarter of this year.  I'm thinking it has taken off.

And yet you're ok with the Republican-sponsored corporate welfare for big oil...puzzling.

Hell, I can remember when I could buy a pack of Camels for 25 cents, a carton for $2.50 and I bought a new fully loaded 1962 Ford Country Squire for $3,900.

Prices have went up, wages have went down and tax breaks for the rich has gone down and the rich wages and money they have accumulated has gone up.  WTH.
