ANDERSON -
Police in Anderson say officers shot a man who tried to hit them with his car after they discovered his meth lab.

Detective Joel P. Sandefur says 32-year-old Dustin Roy Anderson was in stable condition Saturday at St. Vincent's Hospital in Indianapolis, where he was taken following the shooting.

Sandefur says police were searching a garage for a burglary suspect when they smelled an odor associated with making methamphetamine. While police were questioning the people in the garage, Sandefur says Anderson drove his 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier through the garage door at officers surrounding the building, knocking one of the officers down.

Another officer fired shots that struck Anderson once in the side.

Anderson faces charges of manufacturing meth and criminal recklessness. Police also arrested a woman who was with him.

Sounds like some APD officers need a little remedial training on the firing range.

Yep, just what we need, more killer cops.  They kill two many people each year.  I would really like to know the truth on the shooting and I'll bet the cops were lying.

I have a solution for the meth/drug problems.  When arrested and convicted, the guilty go to a special prison equipped to give them a healthy lifestyle (food, exercise, drug free living) or full access to all the drugs they want.  Those who choose to get clean can get out after a couple years of staying clean.  Those who choose to do all the drugs, stay until they die.  Repeat offenders just stay for life.

Sounds harsh, but effective.  Too many are in and out in and out, and never get past their abuse.  Not a problem, lock them up until they want to stay clean, and if they don't, they can drug themselves into oblivion, while leaving society alone.

Sounds good to me, but there is probably some law against it calling it cruel and unusual punishment.

I got a better idea.    Set up an clinic where all drug addicts can come and get all the drugs FREE.  All the drugs they can carry out in their bodies and can't be removed.  In just a little time the problem will take care of it's self.

They won't have to make the drugs.  They won't have to steal or commit a crime to buy the drugs.  No cops, no lawyers and no judges.  When they die just bury them in Potters Field.
