40 dead in Iran this morning die to an EQ registering an estimated 7.0 or so there.

EQ's also in BC and Cali this morning in the 2-4 range.

The U.S. Geological Survey reported a 5.6 magnitude quake in eastern Afghanistan near the Pakistani border Wednesday afternoon. Its epicenter was 15 miles west-northwest of Jalalabad and 59 miles east of Kabul.

Pavlof and Cleveland volcanoes in Alaska are erupting, with Pavlof, the one connected to the mainland, is today spewing ash 20,000 feet into the air. Both have lava flowing already, and are located within the Aleutian Islands area.

An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.1 struck Canada on Friday, the government said.
The location is about 13 miles from Shawville, Quebec, near the Ontario border.

A magnitude 6.8 earthquake rattled the coast of southern Chile early Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
The powerful quake was centered about 626 kilometers (388 mi) west of Puerto Aisen, Chile.

The Sea of Okhotsk is an arm of the Pacific formed by the Kamchatka peninsula, a zone of legendary seismic activity. An earthquake struck about 250 miles northwest of the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, and registered either 8.0 (according to Russian monitors) or 8.2 (say the Americans) on the Richter scale. It was reported to have occurred 375 miles under the sea bed, which could account for its being felt so far away.

It was felt in Moscow!  :spooked:

Moscow is 4,000 miles from the epicenter. That's like an earthquake in Anchorage being felt in Miami.  :spooked:

So. . . what about all these heavy hitter earthquakes we've been having for a little more than a decade now?

Seems like they have now impacted global GPS systems worldwide!  :eek:

And what do you think can be done about it?  NOTHING.  The only reason it wasn't noticed before this is because we didn't have all that fancy shmancy stuff to detect it.  Where were you during science class when they talked about the way the earth had changed over the years?  It is nothing new and no matter how hard they try liberals can't legislate enough laws and rules to change it or stop it.

Just watch Ice Age Continental Divide and it will explain exactly what's happening.  J'king of course but I did think about this topic when I watched the first part.  Watching it now and it's gotten off to a bang just hope it's good all the way through.
