He had a medical emergency on board a flight on April 15th that caused the flight to be diverted. He then told his fans he had the flu.

What a talented guy.  He won 7 Grammys and 30 nominations and sold more than 100 million records.  And won an Oscar for Best Original Song Score for Purple Rain.  R.I.P Prince.

Sheriff said he was found unresponsive in an elevator at the compound, and that attempts to resuscitate were unsuccessful.
