Maybe.

They're not even going to be able to recover the body.  That guy went to bed with the grim reaper :reap: standing beside his bed and he didn't even see it coming.  His bedroom, or the ground beneath it, instantly became his final resting place.

It's been reported that he tried to help him as the ground was collapsing, but couldn't.  Interestingly enough, the sinkhole just swallowed the corner of the house where the bedroom was.   It's also rare that a sinkhole develops that quickly.  Most sinkholes develop over a longer time period.  The house begins to make noises and cracks will appear which alerts the occupants in time for them to escape.  This sinkhole just opened up almost instantly and swallowed him.
