The republican party needs to take this election result as a mandate to break away from the subversive, hate-filled strategy it has embraced and to revamp what being a republican means. What are the values that the democrats have that republicans do not? Those answers should give them their to do list. Do them, or continue to lose the faith and support of the American citizens.

And they need to toss those tea-billies overboard!

I'm sorry but to be called a racist and bigot among other things just because a person disagrees with the policies of the administration is what is being divisive not the people doing the disagreeing.  The tea party like the people against wall street were taken over by the far right and the far left and both got radical but, as you can see by the popular vote, people wanted the change but unfortunately won't be getting it because of the electoral college.  And, like I said, I sincerely hope it's ya'll saying "I told ya so" rather than HH and I 'cause that would not be a good thing in the least.

Your abject failure at illiterating what those so-called policies with which you claim to disagree entail exposes you for exactly what you are.  You lost; get over it.

Obama also won the popular vote by more than 2 million votes.

It is going to take a few days to lick my wounds and make a partial recovery.  I understand how significant this election was to my fellow zoners.  I gracefully congradulate you.  Though, I believe we will be looking at another four more years of the same, sluggish economy, the burden is now solely at the mercy of our POTUS to move us as a Nation to moe prosporous times.  No more blame game. He is the leader.  As I once said back in 2009, prove the consrvatives wrong and show Americans you have better ideas.  I clearly don't see them.

I also reject that there is any sort of Mandate.  This was a very, very narrow election.   About as clost to a 50/50 decision as there can be.

Though, I am not in a mood to elaborate much today, my partner at work is now on vacation, and my duties has been increased immensely, so I will not be particpating too much in the newly founded TUZ Whinning area...at least today.  Rest assured, there WILL be some serious whinning to happen over the course of the next four years... ;D

Well if Ex, Olias, FTW, Sandy, Y, and I made it through 8 long years with Shrub, you should be able to stomach four more years with Obama.
