For some reason it was okay to drive a recent person from the forum, because they "may" have been one of two people........even THEN, I did not care....they was not harming anyone.

The rules about multiple identities are clear.
Arguing with Christians is like playing chess with a pigeon.  No matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock over the pieces, shit on the board and strut around like it's victorious.

I know, but there was no REAL proof, and there was NO HARM.

That's kind of strange, coming from a conservative.

The law is the law, and it is to be obeyed, right?

If you don't like the law, you work to get it changed, but you don't violate it, right?

And, if it had been a liberal-leaning person who did that, it would have been ok, right?

And, the forums are not owned by anyone, right?

So no one has the right to create rules which we must obey to be able to post on that forum, right?

Please don't get too philisophical, I know it is not my forum, and somebody else gets to set the rules....I was just making an observation, how another member did not like this person, so they harrassed them until they/he/she went away....even though the person may have been outside the TOS....had this member not made an issue of them, they would have still been here....

this person only added to the humor, in my opinion....something we lack sometimes.

Not wanting to argue, just making an observation.....the bottom line is, YOU are right.

So you think that person was respectful and contributed to the good times and great dialogue you're lamenting in this topic?

He/she was just as respectful as many others on here.....and, because of it all, we lost one person, who was NOT political and was fun.

I sure didn't throw Sir Likestobitchalot off the Zone.  I would like to have damn fast back.  But Sir Likestobitchalot and Night Hawk "Squawk" were just out to bring the Right Wing bullshit to the Forum and noting else.  I glad they are gone.  I think the group here on the Zone handled them very well.

There is a difference between disagreeing with someone and being downright rude and some on here are just downright rude to those who disagree with them.  Yes, HH or I fire back sometimes then we're told how rude we are.  What kind of crap is that?

...and yet, we all stay here and spout the same ol same ol....

Here is what I am getting at............WHY?  Why do we stay here?  I have been asking myself this question for a long time....I come here nearly every day....it is like "crack" on the internet...

.... just asking the question....why are we here?

I have some input on that subject.  I haven't posted much on this thread, but I've had a busy few days and have been doing some reading.  I view the Zone, probably like we all do, as kind of a coffee shop.  You go into a coffee shop every day for coffee; sometimes you go multiple times per day.  But after a while, you get to know people, and they become familiar to you.  You're not going to agree with everyone in the coffee shop all the time, of course, but if you stop going to the coffee shop for a bit, you tend to miss it.

Also, although the views and opinions of the people in the shop may not change, current events are always changing.  The world is an infinitely interesting place after all, and it never stays the same.  There are always new things going on to discuss.  New elections, wars, tragedies, deaths and illnesses, the cosmos, UFOs, sports, the MIAMI HEAT!! , etc.  The list is endless.

Although I don't always agree with all of you on the board, I would miss the interaction if I were ever to leave for any long period of time.  I've often found myself thinking, when reading about a new current event or something, what some of you here on the Zone are going to say about it before anyone ever posts on the subject.  ;D

That's why I'm here, and if you really think about it, it's probably pretty close to why all of us are.

Just my two cents worth.

Makes perfect sense to me.  I've wondered too at times since I've always had jobs where I've worked with the public and know a lot of people how many of you who live local have I met and interacted with offline and we have no clue....One of those things I think about while drifting off to sleep at night...

Well, as you can tell the quality is NOT very good, I did this in about five minutes....I got this idea in my mind and I thought I would run with it....I wish there were more charactors in it, so I could have included more of us.
