Is Banker's Life close to Lucas Oil?

a few short blocks...a five or ten minute walk at the most.

Thanks.  I thought they should be in close proximity from TV shots of both locations, but I've never been in downtown Indy.

Me, are you kidding!? Downtown is awesome!  Great Food, Excellent Hotels, night clubs, bars and Pacers, Colts and the Indianapolis Indians all just a short walk away.....clean and safe.

I will have to admit it's been a while since I was there.  I think it was about 15yrs ago I went to the Slippery Noodle to see a friend of mine play.  Does that place still exist?

Last I knew it did. But I do seem to recall something about them having financial issues a few years back. . .

It is worth seeing in my opinion. While it isn't in the same realm as Chicago or NYC, it does have its own unique charm. The Inpls Indians are definitely worth the price of admission though, so if you ever wander to Indpls in baseball season, be sure to take some time for a game there. You'll see big league style baseball without all the pomp and egotistical BS, in an environment that is pretty damned relaxing in my honest opinion. (I personally rank an Indians Game experience far above Bankers Life and Lucas Oil). I've never had a bad time at an Indians game, and I attended 2 full seasons of games my first 2 years in Indpls. (Company I worked for was right across the road from Victory Field and they had a lot of season tickets that I had access to for every game).

The canal walk has a unique charm of its own, and Victory Field, Bankers Life, Lucas Oil, St Elmo's Steakhouse, Circle Center Mall, are all a very easy walk from any one of the parking garages downtown; as are numerous other attractions, including the Indpls Zoo.

One could potentially spend a day and an evening there and see all of these things without having to fight traffic, etc. I've down so many times in my time here, though not so much since moving north of Indy.

Some of those venues will cost you though, so bring the plastic.

I just sat here and watched that video, Nap Town to Super City, on the Slippery Noodle page and it was very interesting IMO.  Things like that usually don't hold my interest that long but for some reason this did.  If you have some time to spare you might want to watch it.

Yes it is still there and seems to be doing well.

PH gave a great description...and I agree about the Indians and Victory Field IS a fantastic ball park.

I love downtown Indy and very proud to work down there.
