The following site gives daily updates on electoral vote projections based on current polling data for each state in the United States.   It also gives projections on Congressional races based on those same polling data.  We are posting a link to this site here in hopes that it facilitates discussion and threads related to the data and their interpretation.

We are going to lock this thread at the top of the board, but you may feel free to reply on this thread regarding current projections, or start any other threads you may see fit regarding the upcoming elections.

It's the 21ST century and with all of our modern technology we need to get rid of the Electoral College.  So out dated and so unfair for the voters.

Living in Indiana over the many years my wife and I lose our vote for president.  Is also a shame when a man get more the the winner he looses.

Every presidential elections, the election Is up to 6 or 7 state who get to pick the winner.  Not fair in any way.

Thank you Mr. Knight.  Now we need to get all of the money out of our elections.  The super rich are buying our politicians, both sides,  How can we have a free nation when it is bought.  The almighty dollar rules. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I do think we have the finest politicians that can be bought in Washington DC.   What about, :4th3:

The Troll

One other thing that should be done.  In any election within a state, no out of state money can be used in a political campaign.

In the Wisconsin recall election the Republicans out spent the Democrats 10 to 1 using out of state money.  Like the Koch brothers.  What is the Koch brothers doing in a state election.  A state they don't even live in.

Just like most of the campaign funds for Luger, Coats, Pence, Daniels came from outside the state.  Coats and Daniels came from outside the state.  Buying homes here saying they loved Indiana and want to live here.  That's so much bull shit.  Pence and Luger hasn't live in the state of Indiana for years.  living and raising their kids out of state.

It isn't fair and uncalled for and must be stopped.

Current polling data on that website has Obama over the top even without Florida which is still showing as a dead tie.  However, there are some razor thin margins there in some of the states.

If the people knows what is good for them, they had not better vote for the Golden Con-Man Mitt.

The republican dirty tricks team came up with the photo ID law, with the lie of voter fraud.  Less than .0002 deliberate fraud ever recorded in the entire country.

A republican spokesman from Pennsylvania said that this law would elect Mitt Romney in Pennsylvania.  Really nice, fair and legal way to win an election.  That a go republican party.

There will still be some flux between now and Election Day, that's for sure, but the good thing I've noticed about that map, is that you can hover over the states and see the most recent polling data that they used to determine the results for that state.  None of the surveys used are more than 3 or 4 days old, so it's pretty up to date.

Looking good for now though.  ;D

If this election is won by the Golden Mitten.  It will because the Billionairs bought it for him.  He isn't liked by anyone.  The republicans that I have talked to don't like him, but Obama is a Socialist, a Communist, a baby killer and he's the "N" word.  The ones who wouldn't say that in public.

Can you really believe that Mitt Romney, the son of a multimillionaire doesn't know where his money is, off shored, out sourced to foreign countries in a bind trust.  I call that B - A - L - O - N - E - Y !!!!  :sneaky:  :haha:

For any person to believe this is, definitely has a learning curve problem.  To put it bluntly these people are just plain brain dead. :knife:  I think if we get Mitt Romney's real tax records, not the second set of books like Al Capone kept, we are going to find out he worth more than $250,000,0000 and has evaded U.S. taxes.  Anyone want to bet he's clean as a whistle.  :haha:

Poll: Obama over 50% in Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania

(CNN) - President Barack Obama has a majority of voters backing him in three critical battleground states, according to a survey released Wednesday.

The Quinnipiac University/CBS News/New York Times poll showed Obama leading his Republican challenger Mitt Romney in Florida 51%-45%, in Ohio 50%-44%, and in Pennsylvania 53%-42%. Florida and Ohio are considered toss-ups in November's general election, while Pennsylvania is rated "lean Obama" on CNN's Electoral Map.

The poll indicated that only 4% of likely voters in each of the three states had yet to decide on a candidate to support. Among Romney backers, 10% in Florida and Ohio and 9% in Pennsylvania said they could change their mind before November. Eleven percent of Obama's supporters in Florida said they could change their minds, compared to 13% in Ohio and 15% in Pennsylvania.

"If today were November 6, President Barack Obama would sweep the key swing states of Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania and – if history is any guide – into a second term in the Oval Office," Peter A. Brown, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute, wrote in a statement accompanying the poll's release.
