EPA's been lyin' about stuff and givin' the oil and gas people a hard time plus giving false reports about environmental damage to water and land and imposing fines where none were warranted.

  You read one article and believe that BP is the under dog oppressed by that mean old government.  After dumping millions of gallons of crude oil into the gulf and all of the other pollution they have dumped all over the world.   Old :me:  stands up for the poor (not having billions of dollars), misguided, innocent, misunderstood oil companies.  Give me a break.  :cry:  :cry:  :cry:

As if the oil companies aren't lying to us each and every day? For every mistaken path the EPA goes down, there are hundreds more that, had they been chosen, would have revealed a plethora of violations akin to those that led to the Deep Water Horizon incident. It has happened before and it will happen again unless regulators do indeed crack down on those violators they run across.

That's right, excuse it even though it has put people out of work and cost the companies big bucks disproving the false claims plus slowed down production plus proves that in a lot of instances the oil companies weren't lying it was the EPA making it appear as though they were.

Who said I was excusing it? (You did) My point is due diligence must be exercised in every instance and on both sides of an issue.

Ask me if I give a damn that it cost this company big bucks to defend itself. (I don't). They make BILLIONS on the backs of the pale and downtrodden in society across the globe. The cost to defend themselves is yet another tax deduction and the price of "doing business".  :rolleyes:
