He is a labradoodle.  He is a great dog.  Doesn't shed, easy to train, is extremely lovable.  I was against getting one, but now I am glad we got him.
I would like to get an Aussiedoodle! They are great dogs just like the Labradoodle!

I'm impressed, Troll! I didn't think you cared!

I love my dog!!!  He made me laugh so much last night.  He just really wanted my attention and he got it.  He was in a crazy mood. As normal we played with a toy of his.  I would throw it, and he would bring it back, lay it right next to me...... but then dared me to get before he could.  The expressions on his face made me laugh so hard I was crying.   He had total concentration.  You probably had to be there to get the full impact of my story....

Normally, he lays next to me on the floor when we watch TV....But, last night, he insisted to lay on the couch with me.  Actually, ON ME. (He weighs around 70 lbs. )  If I got up, he would bark until I came back....THEN he would be fine.

I took him out for his last potty break of the night, and he insisted we sit on our porch swing.  Usually, he is ready to come back in. So, we did.  It was hot and muggy, but he was making it all worth while.

This dog has so much personality, he really is one of my best friends.

I know exactly what you mean. My lil'pup and I are the same way and share a TON of times like that together. There are even times when I actually look forward to our afternoon shenanigans together. . .

But. . . give yourself some credit Hank. A dog only returns what it receives. (Aside from unconditional love). So you absolutely have to be doing things right to receive that level of trust and communication with him.

Anyone else been reading about the unaccompanied minors crossing the boarders into Texas? What will happen to them? Seem to be too many for foster care, if that is even an option.

A lot of them will be deported back to the countries they came from. It is a huge INS nightmare and a lot of these kids are orphans because there parents are dead. They will not be put in foster care more than likely in the U.S. but sent back to the country of their origin.

Australian Shepherd and Poodle! They are beautiful dogs. Most people don't know this but in the canine world the poodle is one of the smartest dogs around. I got to see one of the big poodles that someone used for hunting ducks. That dog could out-work the Labs and Retrievers every hour on the hour and still give you change left over.

I have seen pictures of them....they make a great looking dog.  I would be willing to bet they make great members of any good family.

Yes, the only thing is they are about $1200-$1500 and I refuse to pay that for a dog.

Can they be sent back if they don't have family? Will their governents even take them back? It seems like there is really no good way for this to end.

LOST CHURCHES OF LOUISIANA............
The hurricanes that hit the Gulf Coast of our nation were devastating.
It did not spare the houses of worship in and around the area. One of
the local television stations in South Louisiana aired an interview with
a woman from New Orleans .
The interviewer was a woman from a Boston affiliate. She asked the
woman how such total and complete devastation of the churches in the
area had affected their lives?
Without hesitation, the woman replied, "I don't know about all those
other people, But we ain't gone to Churches in years. We gits our
chicken from Popeye's"
The look on the interviewer's face was priceless.

Posted by my niece on her facebook page. When you cry if the first tear comes from the right eye you are crying from happiness. If the first tear comes from the left eye you are sad. When tears come from both eyes you have stepped on a lego while barefoot.  :) Not scientifically researched, but I can relate, legos hurt!
