Well, you'll be selling a few books next week-end. (Maybe this week-end if I can find some time). If I like them I might buy some for my grand-daughter. She cannot read yet (1 year old) but soon!

Time for more soul searching.
Someone very special to me  :smitten: has made a wonderful offer that will allow me to follow my heart and do something besides work 40 hours a week.
I've considered volunteering but what kind? I thought about at hospitals and reading to those that are sick or maybe at elementary schools helping younger ones who are struggling learn to read.... I just don't know what is next on my horizon, but it's going to be good regardless. :yes: :smile:

You might try working for a shelter for abused women / children. They are overwhelmed most weeks and welcome volunteers! I know of a couple of good ones if you find you are interested.

Thanks! That's the kind of thing that I am interested in. If I'm volunteering, I want it to be of value. I want to walk away know that I helped and made somebodies day just a little bit better.  :yes:

Great idea, PH!

Maybe also look into a "Children's hospital" if you have one there? (e.g. St. Joseph's, St. Jude's)...a burn unit?...leukemia patients?

If you can handle it. that would be a HUGE asset, BEG!

Also, senior citizen centers...many elderly folks would love to see your refreshing smile for a visit -- little BEG may even enjoy taking a little craft to decorate their door with, or something? We did that as a philanthropic sorority in high school.

i was watching an old simpsons episode in which steven hawking had a bit part.

in the credits they called it "the voice of steven hawking", but it really isn't, is it.
