Just curious "... dumplings made and cut..."  Do you make your dough for dumplings from scratch? I make mine from Bisquick -- just mix it up, roll into balls, pop into the broth.

I make them from scratch most of the time, these were, because we like them better.  It really isn't that hard.

  I make my dumpling from scratch.  Then I run the dough through my pasta machine.  I cut it to the size I want and let it dry a little bit before I put it in the broth.  They just melt in your mouth.

I attended a luncheon today and the speaker was Mr. Gene Yates. He gave a talk about the raid on Los Banos on Feb. 23, 1945. It was very interesting and informative. Two thousand one hundred and forty seven internees were liberated without a single allied or internee casualty.

What's the weather like in your neck of the woods? It's beautiful here -- a clear cold day, but they say by Sunday we may have some snow.

After going without except for a few flakes or enough to make everything look pretty but melt when it hits the ground, we skipped winter.  I used to love snow, still do when I'm inside all warm and cozy and don't need to go anywhere, but otherwise snow in the D.C. metro area means  Traffic is bad enough as it is, but add snow to it and

Nice and sunny today but tomorrow we could get 5 to 9 inches of snow so says the forecasters.  I just hope they're wrong.

Wow. I used to know a woman in Bluefield who did that as a hobby, and she was good, but nothing as intricate as that.
