It pains me to say this, (due to employment history), but I have one word to help you  with your issue: Tamiflu.

And if you do go to the doctor and he prescribes it for you, ask him to prescribe it for everyone in your family too. (It is preventative as well and can prevent everybody able to take it from contracting the virus.

It absolutely, positively, without a single doubt in my mind, works miracles with the flu.

Go get some from your doctor and you will feel 110% better within 48 hours of starting the regimen.

PH, you are the second person I have heard say good things about Tamiflu.  I am going to look into it.  Yes, I DID have a flu shot, and I am no longer convinced that they help any.  I know there are several types of flu.....My wife got one too, and she was hit two weeks ago with chest and cold flu, then last week was hit with the intestinal flu.  Mine was more intestinal, but had the worst headache and body pain I think I have ever endured.  It has gone through my entire family now.  My son and I are, I believe, on the rebound now.  I feel much, much better, but still stayed home from work one more day.  Haven't ate much, so feelin weak.

Thanks for the kind words....should be back in action soon.

Hope by now you're all better, HH.

Unless my memory is going, I've never had the flu, but the sickest I ever remember being was when my boss at the time (a doctor) convinced me to take my first and only flu shot. I was in bed for a week. Miserable. Every part of me ached, but the backache was the worst.

How weird is this?  Got my strat out to clean it up so I could hang it on the wall and stuck my Snark on it to tune it before hanging and it was still in tune.  :spooked: Haven't touched it in, I'm sorry to say, 10yrs 'cause I've been playing my acoustic.  It's just been sitting on the stand until I put it in the case when we moved.

But Henry, maybe if your hadn't had that flu shot, you might have ended up in the hospital.

last year I got a sinuse infection.  It went into a very sore throat.  Then it went into my lungs and then went into pneumonia and with I got to stay in the hospital for 3 days.   :o

From what I have researched on flue shots, they might stop the flue, but they do cut down the severity of the flue.     :tiphat:

Mr. George H. W. Bush released from the hospital today. Good for him! I bet he is glad to be home.

More than you know.  I've been around a few, well more than a few, lately who make the younger generation sound tame.  Shocked the heck out of me.
