I see that this is attributed to Tony Levin. Is so, what he writes is the very antithesis of how he plays.

Most bass players are frustrated lead guitar players anyhoo, think Chris Squire.

And that, my friends, is why my left ear is bad.

Yeah, think piccolo snare.

Q: What's the definition of perfect pitch?

A: When you toss a banjo in the garbage and it hits an accordion.

I was too.  Someone even told me once that I played like a lead guitar player.

It was the crash cymbal that did it to me.

Good bass players play like James Jamerson or Bach.

I absolutely loathe mockingbirds.

I will say one thing about Mockingbirds.  If you got one tree on your property and the Mockingbird considers  that tree is it's home.  Where will be no bird or cat or dog within a quarter of a mile of that tree.

We had some friends who had a Mockingbird move in.  Their cat of many years couldn't ever go out into the back yard while Mr. and Mrs. Mockingbird was at home.

LOL! Have never eaten fried green tomatoes, but grew up eatin' corn on the cob and pork (all parts of the pig considered edible). Daddy always had two pigs, and I often had the job of sloppin' the hawgs.

Well Libby, the next time you get your hands on a nice large green tomato.  You take that lovely thing, slice it, dip it in some egg batter and coat it thickly with cracker crumbs.  You fry that baby in some hot oil until it is golden brown and call the Troll and I will help you eat it.         :eat:
