random, random, not looking forward to the kidney doctor on monday.   unless he'll have tea and cookies.  he's been known to lure me in with the threat of cookies and a good time.

He probably will tell you to quit eating so much junk and sugar.   And to start eating a better balance diet.  By reading your posts you sound like the cookie monster, I love cooookieeees.     Good luck on the doctor.

for the record--i eat 2 dinner plate-sized spinach/romaine salads with bacon & veggies every week day for lunch (except this last 2 weeks--hospital, bed rest, etc.), rarely eat cookies, never eat cakes, candy is necessary.  dinner is usually pastas, fish, or veggies.  i eat a pretty good variety (though predominantly vegetarian).  i hate going to the kidney doctor--but have no choice.  (he better have some cookies--he IS going to torture me.)  in other news, i hate internetting from my cell phone.  that is all--carry on.
don't threaten me with a good time.

Tis the season to torture, maim, and otherwise pee on everybody else's good times. . .

10  years a go my brother- in- law lost his kidneys.  Had a one transplant.  It lasted 9 years and he lost that.  He passed away six months a go.  After all the pain and medicine he took to keep it.

Take care of your kidneys.  Ok?

i have been--they haven't been taking very good care of me though--kidney stones constantly and infections.  i avoided the doctor for a long time--but after the last 2 weeks, i have to see him.

The roads in Anderson are VERY bad right now. Just ran to Payless for something and had to engage 4x4 in order to get anywhere.

Guess this town doesn't have the money for salt eh?

Was in your fair city today, ~vxn~.

I left before the rain turned to the white stuff.

Have you tried drinking softened water.  I had a friend who's brother fell 30 feet on concrete.  It almost killed him.  He started getting kidney stones.  His doctor put him on drinking softened water.  Soft water has all of the rocks taken out of it.  I was put on another shift so I don't know what happened.  Ask your Doctor.

Bottle water is still hard water.  Distilled would be better.  There is nothing but water in distilled water.  No calcium, no minerals nothing but water.

He is right. You have to watch which bottled water you drink. Some of them have minerals and "flavor enhancers" that are every bit as hard on your body as the hard water right ot of you sink's tap. . .

Nothing will take the hardness out of water but a softener (ion exchange) or distillation (boiling to steam).  Since I sold and installed water condition products for around 40 years.  I have found that coffee and tea tastes better with mineral free water.  Soft or distilled water.

On my sink in the kitchen in have soft water on the main faucet and a hard water, carbon filtered cold faucet.  The carbon is to filter out chlorine in the city water.  I always make the tea and coffee out of soft water.  But for a drink of water I drink the hard filtered, chlorine free water.
