Those of you who wear glasses, did your vision change all of a sudden?

I was sitting in about the same spot last night and I could clearly read the sign across the hall and down a piece. Tonight, it's so blurry that I can't read it. I can see the phone fine. I've blinked, looked and walked away, but the sign is still blurry from this spot. WTH? Seriously, this is freaking me out a little

  Stop what your doing and go to an eye doctor immediately.  It could be glaucoma a torn retina.  In any case don't wait, your eyesight might be a risk.  I know of one person who lost his one eye because he waited to long. 

  GO TO AN EYE DOCTOR, CALL ONE AND TELL WHAT HAS HAPPENED AND THAT YOU WANT SERVICE NOW.

If your sinus are acting up that can cause your vision to change temporarily because of the pressure it puts on your eye from them being swollen.  Also if you're nearsighted your glasses might need adjusted.  If mine get the slightest bit out of adjustment it makes a difference.  Whats freaky is if mine get out of adjustment just a certain way I can see double out of one eye because of the prescription.  But, like Troll says, if you can discount all that give your eye Dr. a call.

Your blood sugar can affect your vision, when it is high or low.

  Just be safe. to the eye doctor tomorrow.  Don't take a chance with your eye sight.

Interestingly enough it could have been any of those things. I'm awake now, b/c I can't stop sneezing and my nose is stopped up. At the time I posted that, I really had not eaten b/c I had been in meetings literally ALL day so maybe there was a decrease in blood sugar. Also, I've been becoming aware that my vision isn't as perfect as it once was, but I've been postponing the trip to the eye Doc. I think after last night, I'm going to make that appt. I did try again before I left and I could read it.

When's the last time you had a check up? Sudden vision changes could also be a sign of impending stroke, but just because it could be a sign doesn't mean thats what it is.

A checkup / annual physical is always a good idea, and that includes the eye doctor as well.

Most likely it is jus an indication of eye strain and weariness. Especially if you were working with a computer a lot or something that required up close examination ofr a long period of time.

This happened to me one time, and I went tothe doctor right away. He told me I just needed to get some rest. . .
