  What in H*ll has happen to the school teachers of today.  Another young girl has died at her own hands because of Bullies. 

  A 16  year old girl from Cleveland Ohio tied a rope around her heck and jumped out of her bedroom window.  She had been bullied by a group of girls for a long time and nothing was done to stop it.

  What also is really "SICK" when the girls who had tormented her approached her open coffin they laughed at the way she looked.  So they say.

  We need to stop bulling and name calling in all schools with ZERO Tolerance.

I don't think it is the teachers fault....Maybe the PARENTS of these freakin brats need to beat their little ARSES, and some introduce some REAL discipline in their crappy lives.  Whatever happened to being accountable for your own actions...these kids are accoutable by their parents.  I agree with you though that this bullying crap is WAY out of control.  But it all starts at home...

What the hell has happened is society has turned our kids into a bunch of panty waists!

In our time when kids bullied you took it as long as you could stand it, then kicked their asses or got your ass kicked a time or two. But that usually cured it whether you won or they did. Bullies used to STFU when they found out it meant risking physical defense. . .

Now its a felony when you kick a bully's ass, and kids tend to grab a gun, which is also a felony. Everything's a felony today. . . And a felony conviction means limited chances in life. . . so kids are turning to suicide rather than go to their parents. . .

In sixth grade I kicked Terry Leatherman's ass on the playground and sent him crying to the teacher.

I had to take a lot of punishment from the school, but the bullying stopped.

You're right in one respect, PH -- a good ass-whipping will cause bullies to seek easier targets elsewhere.

It was a lesson I learned early in life. I got my ass kicked a few times and did the ass kicking a few times, but in every case the bully went elsewhere rather than mess with me anymore. Sure, I got my punishment from the schools for my role, but it also put the schools on notice about those jackasses!  And it spared my younger siblings a lot of it too . . .

I don't disagree. I wasn't picked on, but the stakes a little higher now. Life is faster, kids are more advanced and harder too in a lot of cases. I don't recall being as mature as my 13 year old daughter when I was her age.  We have a rule in place that must be followed unless she's in danger. She tries to talk to the person, tries to walk way, tries to enlist the assistance of an authority figure or me. If those avenues don't work, then she has my full permission to put them on their azz and then I'll deal w/the school. So, far we've had 100% success rate w/out getting to the last part. Sometimes, I wish my daughter would use the big brother advantage but lil' miss independent likes to take care of herself. I have NO idea where she gets that from.

we are on the same page on this one Sandy, THAT is exactly what I preach to my kids....only once, has one of my kids had to get physical, but it was a last resort, and the problem was resolved between them because of his actions....both came away with a few bumps and bruises....and both learned a lesson from it.

Amazing that you recall the guy's name. I only had to prove myself three times. Once I had endured endless torment on the school bus, for no apparent reason. I didn't tell anyone because back then, you just didn't tattle. One day, I was fed up and I grabbed Tina and dragged her off the school bus (because I knew I'd get into trouble for fighting on the bus ) and pounded away on her until she scrambled back on the bus. The fact that she was in HS and I was in middle school made it even more humiliating for her. The bus driver came to my defense when I was called to the HS the next day. The second time was in defense of someone else who was being bullied. She wasn't really even my friend, but the events that were taking place weren't her fault and it was just all wrong. The girls tormenting her were my friends. The vice principal let me slide on that one w/out punishment. The girl eventually committed suicide. The last one was a swift jab to the solar plexus of a guy who thought it'd be okay to touch my butt, in front of his friends, as I walked down the hall. I don't know what ever became of him, but I hope he's nicer to females.

I recall every single on of their names myself. One of them went on to rape, mutilate, and murder my sister's best friend in high school, and was sentenced to life in prison. He was subsequently murdered in jail by the brother of his victim. . .

Three of them are currently serving time over infractions that range from federal racketeering to murder.

Three others are dead, one by their own hand.

All of them were bullies in school, and all of them gave me crap; and all of them were physically confronted by this author which ended their screwing with me. . . and my siblings. . .
