Soooo schools are closed for Rosh Hashanah...why?

Maybe b/c they're closed on Christmas? again...why?

Fall break, winter break...okay, but they shouldn't be closed for observance of a religious holiday.

Seems to me there is quite a bit of secular stuff mixed in there.

Henry, people of the Jewish faith aren't Christians, but if we're going to nationally acknowledge one, we may as well acknowledge the other.

Thank you, Olias. Actually, the information provided makes me feel better about my question.

Although I wonder if we should observe the major holidays of all religions?

IF we are going to get any rain over the next few days, it will be Saturday; right after the welcome dance at the Pow Wow!

Happiness is laying on the floor with the dog's head resting across one leg, the cat across the other and I just got a hug and kiss from my princess. I'm also happy she didn't decide that I'm a good place to take a nap and I hope she stays awake long enough to help me up should my legs fall asleep and fall off. ;D
