Soooo schools are closed for Rosh Hashanah...why?

Maybe b/c they're closed on Christmas? again...why?

Fall break, winter break...okay, but they shouldn't be closed for observance of a religious holiday.

and it all goes back to our "Christian Heritage" that you refuse to accept....it was designated a federal holiday by Congress and President Ulysses S. Grant in 1870.....

but that IS a Christian holiday, that IS recognized....and why is that?....because of our Christian Heritage... :yes: ...it was deemed important enough to recognize it NATIONALY....

Henry, people of the Jewish faith aren't Christians, but if we're going to nationally acknowledge one, we may as well acknowledge the other.

Although I wonder if we should observe the major holidays of all religions? :think:

Happiness is laying on the floor with the dog's head resting across one leg, the cat across the other and I just got a hug and kiss from my princess. I'm also happy she didn't decide that I'm a good place to take a nap and I hope she stays awake long enough to help me up should my legs fall asleep and fall off. ;D

It probably will rain since I'm planning on going and a friend of ours is planning on coming down from northern In for it.
