I don't doubt that all of those are reasons, but I think it would be unfair if we didn't give the greed of the CEOs of our major motor companies credit also.

Ya know I could have sworn Toyota was built here too.  Isn't there one in northern Indiana as a matter of fact.  Are there not also Toyota car lots that employ people?

  All corporations are greedy.  Let me repeat ALL CORPORATIONS ARE GREEDY.  That what they do.  The only job is, is to be greedy.  Make the most money at the least amount of money spent out.

  Do the the least amount of actual work, labor cost, safety cost,  pollution cost and material at the cheapest cost for the most profit.

  LOOK AT BP, the finest example of corporate greed and the foreign car makers working here,  I sure would like to have their book audited and take a look at their phony parts cost alone.

  And for you people who love to buy cheap foreign products, have at it.  Even animals don't shit in their own nest and when you buy this crap, brag about it and tell how cheap you got it for.  You just shit in you own nest.  It's coming home and coming fast.  You can see everyday.  And the Republicans are going to get what they want a Herbert Hoover Depression.  Then we will all be happy.  The End.

Exactly what's wrong with the foreign car makers here Troll?  my step daughter worked at one of those plants and they were treated well, made a decent wage, had good benefits, were paid overtime, had clean safe working conditions, got breaks every two hours, and didn't have to give any of their money to a union.  To build those factories they employed Americans, to supply them employed Americans, their car lots employ Americans.  So whats yer bitch with that?  Appears to me that those foreign cars are just as, or more, American than a lot of other things purchased by us.

Indeed, of the automakers assembling vehicles in the US, the top two are Toyota and Honda. (Utilizing the most American made sub assemblies and components to assemble the final vehicle).
