You do realize that racism didn't begin w/ Reid and it won't end w/him. Instead of using Martin Luther King's words as a podium for your political bias why not acknowledge the big picture?

I'm wondering why my first cousin, who lives right here in Broward County Florida who I last saw 20 years ago this past Christmas (1989) who also:

1.  Has never even called, spoken to, or attempted to reach any of our family in the area over the last 20 years.

2.  Never gave his grandmother the opportunity to see her great-grandchildren while she was alive.

3.  Didn't attend his grandmother's funeral when she died.

4.  Didn't attend any of his cousin's weddings, baby showers, birthday parties, graduations, or other life milestones over the last 20 years.

.....decided to add me as a friend on Facebook last night.

i have "successfully" shaved my himalayan, 'loki'.  he is now nekkid and still the biggest cat i've ever seen in person.  18 pounds of angry furless furball.

I am so glad you clarified the fact it is a cat you shaved. . . the  4 legged type!  :icon_twisted:

I 100 realize this....

and I say BECAUSE of those words by Reid...only damages those words by MLK....IS the big picture or should be.

And you actually believe that Reid is racist?

Nah. I think you jumped on a word because you want to paint him as a racist.

I don't understand it.  I'm the only one he contacted.  My (and his) other cousins are all on there and he could just has easily have contacted them as well, but didn't.

He may have had a hefty case of burning ears because we were all talking on Christmas Eve about the fact that it had been 20 years since any of us had seen him.

I accepted the friend request and posted a message for him.  I said, "Hey Jimmy!  20+ years no talk to."

His reply:  "Life gets busy with 4 girls in the house (1 wife and 3 kids)."

That was it.  Nothing more, nothing less.  I may delete him.

My point is not really if Reid is or isn't........but yet he, as leader of the US Senate, can still referr to African Americans as NEGRO's?.......or "light Skinned".....

seriously if Rush Limbaugh had said this.....the liberals would be so pissed and demanding he be fired from his radio show.....but THIS is a Senate Majority Leader....who speaks on behalf of the America's Senate

I also wonder how after discussing the fact that today was a holiday with Henry Hawk this morning, I still managed to run to the bank only to find it closed.   I must have killed a few brain cells with my beer and chicken wings during the games over the weekend.  ;D

Strange.

Just yesterday afternoon I was contemplating the beautiful convergence of savory flavors in my Guinness and Yuengling with the flood of spices in my wings.
