I dunno PH as long as I've known you on the forum there's only one thing that I can picture causing you to feel like your avatar. I hope that I'm wrong and everything is okay.

i'm making a, probably un-called for, remark about Harry Reid's outrageous comments he recently made....

Reference to Reid's comments.

Of course, he was just making observations about all the racist conservatives and how those people think about voting. And he was right. You ought to hear the commentary I hear at the small town restaurant where I go for coffee nearly every day. Small town and ultra conservative. "Negro" and "light skinned" are COMPLIMENTS  to them.

And they don't have much to say in a positive way about all the research that is being done to improve their lives by "them damn college kids and their friggin' perfessers."
Ignorance and fanaticism are ravenous. They require constant feeding.

yeah, but comment's from some punk kids is one thing, but for these kind of comments coming from the most powerful man in the Senate...are no comparison....

Wow. I thought I was the only one who noticed that kind of stuff. . . I hear it all the time around town here, and sad to say even from some of my friends. I've managed to bite my tongue thus far, but it is only a matter of time before my ability to stay quiet will wear dangerously thin. . .

I guess ignorance is indeed bliss insofar as the ignorant are concerned.  For the rest of us, it's maddening.

Not talking about "punk kids." These are adults of all ages, including those who have been elected to positions of authority. It is pervasive.

I agree with you and I'm not making any excuses......I'm merely pointing out that we have the Highest elected senator making these remarks and there seems to be no problem with this....
