It doesn't matter where the mall is; all of the big commercial property management portfolios have malls all over the country, all of them are facing the same issues and all of them rent to the same national tenants.  Trust me, no one is raising rents right now...rather the opposite.  Stores are closing primarily because they aren't selling enough merchandise to stay profitable.  In B. Dalton's case, Borders has made the decision to close all of those mall-based stores in favor of free standing Borders so they may eventually build one near vxn.

Interestingly, I never really considered norther Ohio far from Indiana.  :wink:

As is her decision to divulge that information should she so choose.  I've known for quite some time what part of the country she is in based on information she made public on other sites, links to which she posted on her profile here.  If she is comfortable doing so, it isn't your job to second guess that decision.
