Went to the grandson's football game tonight.  They lost but it was fun watching the game.

Colts win in a squeaker. Miami limited the Indy offense to 15 minutes on the field total! And they still won.

Man, every game I watched this weekend was a squeaker and went down to the wire. Now this game was the same way. I love football!

Is it high school? I absolutely love night football games! Okay, so if there's a family member or friend of the family playing that makes it more enjoyable, but I like the chill, smell of the autumn air which is a mixture of wood smoke from someone's fireplace and fresh popped corn. He's in middle school, 8th grade.  No popcorn..they didn't even have a little concession building.  Just 3 mom's with card tables and some candy bars, small bags of chips, nachos and coolers of pop.

it WAS a fun weekend...wasn't it!!...I got to watch a few games this week, and last nights game was great.

Manning may very well be the GREATEST QB to play the game.....he STILL is building a legacy, right before our eyes.

I know I am impressed with his ability to remain a regular guy despite the successes. His interview post game on the field struck me as genuine and I couldn't have been more shocked.  Gushing about his little brother's (Eli) success on Sunday, (Unheard of in the NFL!), and how he motivated himself to do his best to imitate that success was smarmy; but it just goes to show you that he loves the game and for the Mannings it is a family tradition and competition.

I was texting with a friend in Miami during the game last night, and both of us commented on the games being so competitive over the weekend. (At least the regionally televised ones anyway).

The start of this years football season has been a great one. Great competition, great action, and thrillers!  :yes: If it carries through the entire season the NFL will gain some new fans.

The downside is that they'll use that to increase their ability to rape cities across the land to fund even more new stadiums on the citizen's dime. . .  :icon_evil:
