I'm sitting outside the band room at my daughter's school listening to the kids practice...wow...they really are amazing. I'm so happy that she has this opportunity. :yes:

I kind of figured you'd get the steel horse out of the barn today PH. 
We had some runnin' to do then came home and worked out in the yard.  I even cooked on the grill tonight.   :biggrin:

I've been thinkin' a nice beef heart with dressing sure sounds good.  Gettin' harder and harder to find someone who carries beef heart though.

yummy....that sounds good.  I haven't had beef heart in quite some time ....nobody at my house likes it but me.  It is also hard to find.  I love liver and onions too....and even that is hard to find at times.

I usually go to the Harvest Market on 8th St to get it.  Last time I had to have the butcher slice me some though because they started slicing it thin enough to read the paper through and I don't like it like that.  I mean that's fine if you just fry it and through onions in with it but I like to do mine in the gravy and cook it so it's nice and tender and it actually has some flavor.

I find mine at Strong's......although I don't cook mine in gravy...I do make the gravy after the liver is done.  I used to fix a mound of mashed potatoes with it...but can't have them now due to my diabetes and having to watch carbs....so the gravy is out too....but I can have all the liver and onions I want....
