The Eagles (the band) will be playing at Conseco March 22, 2008. Tix range from $195 to 60 bucks and go on sale Feb 2.

If I can score some decent tix we will be there for sure! I have been an Eagles fan for a VERY long time! They have not been in Indy since 2003 and there are a number of cuts of their last cd that I really like!

I have a strict policy that is someone is coming near me who could potentially have their last performance soon - age or retirement or both - then I must see them.  I've taken care of Aerosmith and Stevie Wonder.  Eagles would also make that list.
Take time to smell the roses.

I went to Alpharetta Georgia last summer to see them.  They were awesome.....

One dramatic moment though:

As i was driving south on the bypass I saw a vehicle traveling down the on ramp. As I observed the vehicle and the 2 cars ahead of me, I saw the car lurch sideways and snow was flying. As the vehicle bounced across the shoulder I watched, (in the super slow motion that only seems to come during dramatic events somehow), as it slid headlong into the ditch, then slammed into the light pole, which also came down in super slow motion.

The 2 vehicles in front of me pulled onto the shoulder as I approached and hit my hazard lights, with every intention of doing the same thing. However, both individuals who exited the 2 vehicles already on the shoulder were wearing "EMS" jackets, and one of them had a radio in hand and was calling it in. So I just proceeded on by at a safe speed.

The light pole had collapsed onto the vehicle and did not fall onto the roadway. It sure appeared to be designed to do just that, since I watched the arm fold in on impact and the rest of the pole just seemed to methodically come apart and fall almost straight down.

The vehicle occupants appeared alright, since the driver was exiting the vehicle as I went by. . .

Needless to say, the vehicles that were drafting me beforehand fell back to a comfortable interval and it stayed that way the rest of the trip home. . .

I just got done helping my nephew with box-and-whisker plots for his math homework in which the largest sample set was 50.  :mad:   I just love statistics.  :no:

I saw very few vehicles out on the trip to work this morning. Mostly snow removal equipment.  :biggrin:

I just took a peek at the radar and now am suffering from major disappointment; for the end of it is near. The freight train has been pushed south easterly and while the southern states are going to get some rain/sleet/ice, the North east will get yet another wallop. . . Dang it when are we ever going to get a decent amount of snow around here!?  :rant:
