Good morning. Are you doing any better with your back today?

I'm much better today. Thanks for asking.  I go back to work tomorrow. Only a 3 hour shift, so I think I'll be OK.  Wednesday might be quite trying though. I open and there is A LOT of heavy lifting.

Well, they're picking the soy beans today. We're having what I call the running of the cats. The cats are darting out of the fields ,trying to get  away from the pickers. I almost had a heart attack, as I watched a confused kitten run away from a picker, and then start to dart back towards it in confusion.  Luckily, it went back in the right direction. I wonder how many small animals fall victim to the pickers every year. I know the hay cutters claim a lot of them every year.

are the pickers like a combine?  i can imagine the nightmare for the animals in tha field.  prolly have a whole religion based on the appearance of the "Great Demon" every year.

LMAO!!! For some reason that made me think of The Great Pumpkin!!!  The pickers are like combines and they're huge. I looked in the field, and didn't see any dead cats, or any other critters. Whew........

Well guys it is not a good day. This morning hubby got a call about his test results from last week. His heart is fine but, they found a spot on his lung. They  are pretty sure it is not pneumonia. It's a spot. We have an appointment with a pulmonary specialist at 2:00 this afternoon. I couldn't get myself pulled together enough to go to work. I've got a very sick feeling that it may be cancer. If it is I don't know what we're going to do. I'll update as soon as we find something out.

Hey Dex,...for what it's worth, they found a spot on my wifes lungs a couple of years ago, and she was diagnosed with Histoplasmosis.  The doc said thousands of people in indiana have this.  In her case, he said several in Anderson got this a few years ago when they tore down some building in downtown Anderson...the dust mixed with pigeon droppings got into the lungs and forms a fungus like infection.  He said, for the most part it is really harmless and more than likely will NEVER cause a problem.

I'm not saying that is your husbands problem...I'm just throwing other possiblities out there.  It scared us when the spot showed up and the doc wanted us to see a specialist.  My wife has had no problems with this.  She gets it checked every year, just to make sure it is not getting any bigger.

Thanks HH we really appreciate it. I'm glad you wife is still doing so well.  It's pretty scary to go through. We went to the specialist, and he says it's 50/50 on whether it's cancer. The hospital didn't send him the entire scan so, he can't tell how big it is. When he gets the rest of the scan, he is suppose to call us. The doctor did schedule a COPD test, an Asthma test, and another lung scan in a month. He wants to see if it is going to grow, before he does more invasive testing. I've got a good feeling about this. Before we went I had a horrible sense of dread, but I feel better now.

Well, hubby has nodules on his lung. We just found out today. I'm sure they will probably have to do a biopsy, to see if it's cancer. He is soooooo sick and depressed. He isn't eating anything at all, and he's having a lot of trouble breathing. The doctor prescribed an inhaler. So, things aren't going good around here. If I'm not on here much everybody will know why.

Great day for working outside.  We got the garden stripped, the bird bath cleaned out and put up for the winter, the hedges trimmed, and some other stuff done and we're taking a break and gonna try to get a few more things done later.

I got my Fall yard work done this morning, and I'm gonna mow this afternoon sometime.

Tonight, Anderson Speedway. Demolition derby and they are doing the school bus thing as well!
