Here's an update on the kitten.......

Right now, he's doing OK. At 4:00 this morning his crying woke Hubby and I up. I reached for his sleeping box, and whisked him out of the bedroom to feed him. Much to my surprise he wasn't in it.  :spooked: I flung the bedroom door open, and screamed "He's not in his box!!!! "Cover your head I gotta turn the light on!!!" to half asleep Hubby. So, I flipped the light on, and he was laying in a pile of clothes on the floor. He had taken a 4 foot drop off the dresser.  :spooked: Thank God those clothes were there. The floor was carpeted though. Hubby has been taking care of him the most. He's still under the weather pretty bad. So, he holds him until feeding time, and I feed him with an eye dropper. The little guy is quite tough, and a real fighter. We're trying not to get our hopes up though. He is awful little.  :no:

How about.... "Crash"?  :biggrin: I've got a cat named Bender, because I accidentally slammed his tail in the car door one night. His tail was kind of bent when that happened. It's perfectly fine now, but the name stuck.  :biggrin:

The little kitten died at about 6:00.  :'(  He just wasn't strong enough to survive.  :no: We gave it our best shot, so that makes me feel better.I try to do what I can, and that's all I can do.  :yes:

I actually wondered how your husband was going to take it 'cause you mentioned the way he held him all day and it seemed like he was getting attached.

Poor lil' guy, he put up a good fight too and y'all gave him more of a chance than he would have had otherwise.

Ya know.... it was sooooo little we never really thought it would make it. We promised each other we wouldn't get our hopes up. It was hard, but it was the outcome we expected. I've never had one that little survive. That's just too little to be away from the mama.  I never did figure out who the mama was. She had four of them. I found 2 of them in a large flower pot by my deck. They died shortly after I found them. The other one was stillborn.  :no:
