It's always darkest before the dawn.  So if you're going to steal your neighbor's newspaper, that's the time to do it.

LOL, I haven't "went" camping. I have a tent up at my daughters, I'm hanging out in her backyard.  I was SUPPOSED to go camping down near Batesville this weekend, but my new van konked out on me last night. I'm stranded at my daughters.

A bonfire sounds like fun. I'm planning a weiner roast for Sept. or Oct. It would be neat to have a hay rack ride. Those are alot of fun.

Dex, that does sound like a lot of fun. I think I'll talk to my friends and see if there's anything like that around here. In Maryland different farms would sponsor that type thing in the month of October for Halloween, but I haven't noticed anything like that here. You know what? If I can't find one, then I just may rent a campsite and do it myself. Humpf!

When I was a child my family had one every year. We'd have 40 or 50 people come. We always had a hayrack ride. It was the highlight of the party, we'd ride around, and sign at the top of our lungs. The grown ups were always wasted, and inevitably every single time, somebody got sick or fell off. It sure was alot of fun. Those were carefree times, and I miss them alot. After my parents divorced that was the end of it all. I cherish those memories.

or started sneezing sitting up top the hay! ;D My uncle used to load up the wagon for us and drive all of us around the farm when it was time to bring in the hay. I always liked the loose hay because we could bounce around on it and dive into it like leaves.
