I truely was blessed and very fortunate to have had the chldhood I had...
you guys ARE amazing that you turned out to be the good folks that you are, makes you wonder sometimes......I believe those times make you stronger and build so much charactor, if you are of the right mind to overcome those bad times...

I was think precisely the same thing as I read that, Henry.

pretty rough.

mine start with a day i was three...

my mother was taken away from me.  she was deemed a danger, and institutionalized.  later diagnosed with schizophrenia.

she's had several breakdowns since then.  usually when they adjust her meds.  they always suck.

i had a dog too.  eventually, that dog was blind, lame, and sick with age.  she lived longer, but died more brutally.  we couldn't afford to euthanize her.  didn't own a gun.  so my father smashed her skull with a ball peen hammer.  it took several blows before she stopped twitching.

i left home and struck out on my own before i had any saleable skills.  as a result, i spent many nights sleeping in alleys, and diving in dumpsters for food.  any one of those was pretty bad...

i had a pretty bad meth addiction at one time.  i can remember one day in particular.  i hadn't eaten in over 15 days.  i hadn't slept in over 7.  i was looking at a line of crank and thinking "this'll kill me or put me to sleep.  i don't care which."  that was a bad day.

i was rock climbing and fell 30'.  took a rock in the middle of my back.  spent the next 2 years in constant pain.  therapy three times a week so that i could bend over again.

my big brother died when he was 29.  it was 6 days before christmas.  that sucked.

Guess you don't need anyone to tell you that you're a survivor.

But, I certainly respect you because of it.

I can definitely relate to the beginning of your list..

time to walk a few miles in the rain... (i need to walk, just happens to be raining... lol...)  nothing is a better chaser for a work out than walking....  :smitten:
don't threaten me with a good time.

Life ain't always beautiful, but it's a beautiful life.   ( as if I could ever be original, LOL)
Looks like I've come full circle.

no walk today... but i did save a bunch of money on my car insurance... (not really, but i did get to go to walmart...)
don't threaten me with a good time.

i did get a walk in last night... i walked a mile to the swedish pastry shop... and got donuts and breads and skorpers!  (my son asked if skorpers are made with REAL sKorpions...)  (its a sweet bread, sliced, sprinkled with sugar or cinnamon and sugar or nothing at all.  then it is toasted.  kinda like melba toast)

I was wondering what skorpers were.

And now it's 5:00pm...the time ~vxn~ has anxiously been waiting for.

my victim's daughter was particularly (and intentionally) difficult this weekend.  this is the time he takes her home.  she was good company friday evening... and there it went.

going through an early change?

Ugh, I hope not. That was my first thought, too. I don't think so; I think its the light bit of sunburn I have from yesterday's ballgame. I thought it was just on the back of my neck, but its my face that is holding all the heat, but I'm cool to the touch, and I don't want to not have my blanket on my lap.

I like my blanket on my lap.  It's there now.

Mine too. I seldom sit around the house without it. Its just comfy there.

I turned on the A/C. Hopefully that'll help. Aaron did say he was hot, too
