(on a more serious note, the male himalayan needs shaved to prevent matted fur... that he chews off and eats.)

there is nothing wrong with shaving cats.  any cats, kitties, kittiens or... puss... you get the idea.

When I had him I brushed my himalayan daily to try to cut down on the hair balls. With all that fur they can get pretty bad and nasty if you step on them in the middle of the night.  :sick2:

We have one long-haired black and white cat that likes to yak up hair balls on my side of the bed, right where I put my feet down when I get up.

I have invented curses that mankind has never heard before, just because of that cat.
