And that has what to do with them trying to demean and discredit Ann Romney?

No, it isn't but what does demeaning discrediting her have to do with Mitt and how he might handle the presidency?  What does it have to to with the issues?  Like Anne said, the ones who brought the whole thing up can't relate either so what was their purpose in even saying what they did?
Quote from: Anne on April 13, 2012, 06:48:25 PM
Who is qualified to 'understand the plight of the middle class woman'? Certinaly not the woman who called her unqualified, not Mrs. Obama, not Mrs. Clinton or anyone else who has voiced an opinion on tv. They are all past that. My point is, she is as qualified as many of the people who want you to think they know so much about the subject.

Mitt exposed her to the media wolf pack by inferring her expertise on the subject. The rest is nothing more than political subterfuge designed to take your eye off the ball. And it is working!

I heard the POTUS state his admiration for the work involved in motherhood this very day.

Probably not. Don't really care. But if I had the kind of money she fell into, I wouldn't work either.
Quote from: Exterminator on April 13, 2012, 01:37:32 PM
Neither would I but I also wouldn't try to pretend that I understand the economic plight of middle class women.
Quote from: The Troll on April 13, 2012, 01:52:23 PM
I would say that Mitt has always been rich, born with a gold spoon in his mouth.  His wife, hooooooo she had it so bad.  In 2011 she had 5 house keepers and she don't have any children at home.

I bet she didn't have one person helping taking care of the house, taking care of the kids, cooking.  Mowing the grounds of the manison, cleaning the stable where she and Mitt has their horses.  If anyone tell you she didn't have nannies, maids and cooks, I would say you're a big fibber.   :sarcasm:
Quote from: Exterminator on April 13, 2012, 02:25:53 PM
I don't think you can still claim to be a stay at home mom after your kids are all grown.

I didn't say that but don't conservatives imply exactly that all of the time when they portray welfare mothers as lazy?  Do single mothers who must rely on public assistance have the same right to make the "career choice" to be mothers or is that option only available to people who don't have to work anyway?
Quote from: Exterminator on April 13, 2012, 02:47:48 PM
I'm not talking about making a career out of being on welfare, I'm asking if a woman has the right to choose the "career" of being a mother if welfare is the only way she has to support herself while doing so.  Your ilk has been calling them lazy for decades and now wants to get indignant when someone suggests that Ann Romney, who has drivers, cooks and housekeepers, never worked.

No, what the liberals and many middle-class conservatives as well are suggesting is that Mitt Romney's constant deference to his wife's opinions on the economic plight of middle-class women is misguided and misplaced because she knows absolutely nothing about them.  And here's a clue for you: these are the real issues.
Quote from: The Troll on April 13, 2012, 03:36:43 PM
I heard it with my own ears what Mitt said, "my wife REPORTS to me on the economy."  I do agree that she probably more up on the economy than :me:.   But like what they say about Mitt working with many women and having ask for their advice.  I'll bet they REPORTED to him too.  :sneaky:

My wife and I have friend who has at the present breast cancer.  We have friends who have had breast cancer.  We had friends who have died of cancer.  We have a friend with MS and a woman I worked with had MS and has since died and not in a very good way.

The woman who said that Romney hadn't worked a day is a working woman outside of her home, who also is raising children.  Romney's wife has not worked outside of her home, like my wife didn't until our boy was in school and she got bored staying home.  I didn't ask her to get a job because I made and work enough for her to not work.

When you were working did you have maids, cooks, nannies and money to take really good care of them giving them everything they wanted and sent them to the finest colleges that money could buy.  I'll bet you didn't, unless you have lied about not having any money when you were raising kids.  Hummmmmmm.

"Me" you know what you are saying is total crap and bullhocky, give it up, your not proving a thing to us.

There was a lady who called in this morning on MSNBC.  She said she had worked for Romney's wife family.  She said that she cooked, clean and took care of Romney's wife.  She said that you sure can believe that she didn't do any work, because the lady that called in said she did it.  I believe it.

With MS there are days when she probably can't even get out of bed let alone work.  Go read up on MS Troll there are different degrees of it and it doesn't always show.  A person can be fine one day and can't talk or walk the next.

God damn it, I know want MS is.  I  personally know a woman who has it, she and her husband has been to my house many times and my wife and I have been to their house many times and I have personally seen what the damn disease does to her.

I also worked in the same department at Ford with a woman who was in the last stages of MS and I seen what it did to her and I seen her last day at work, just a short time before she died.  She was one tough cookie and she fought as hard as she could but it still got her.   >:(

But what I want to know is how many paid nurses, maids, cooks and housekeepers did Mrs. Romney have to help her though the bad times.  I got to say one thing, she is sure is a beauty and she sure looked good at the NRA convention.  For her health and well being she should stay out of the political war her husband is in.  Because stress in one thing you don't want with MS.

Lay off her Troll it has nothing to do with the issues at hand that he will have to handle.  Wonder how many maids and cooks Michelle has and she is healthy.

Did you know Mitt Romney's wife also has had breast cancer and has MS?  You do know what MS is don't you?  Now lets hear you put her down some more.  Of course you have a right to put her down 'cause she's just a conservative's wife as well as a conservative herself, she's fair game like was said in another thread.  You all are amazing.

Sweetheart, Michelle is the wife of the President of United States of America.  She lives in the White House the Home of the President of America.  When a wife of the President lives there, there is the White House Chief and a cooking staff.  I hope you don't want the wife of the President cooking for all of the White House affairs do you.

Since she does live in the White House that is owned and operated by the the government who takes care and cleans it I suppose that Michelle need to clean the whole White House and it many offices and Wait on each every person who enters the White House each day.

You got to be a damn fool to even suggest such a stupid proposition.  :jester:  :jc:
