Well, my son and I survived the Van Halen concert last night.  We also survived the drunk sitting next to us who insisted on being the center of attention all night.  And most importantly, that guy survived our instinct to boot him over the edge into the seats far below.  Kool and the Gang (the opening act) owes me 45 minutes of my life they wasted with their disco crap!  I wondered why I couldn't remember anything they had done, now I know why.  None of it was worth remembering. :rant:

Van Halen was excellent. :biggrin:

Last time I saw them with David Lee at the mic, Black Sabbath opened for them. Sabbath blew them away. So much so I walked out mid set on VH. (Of course this was back int he day too).

Sammy at the mic version was much better in my opinion. . .  :smile:

I really want to see Van Halen when they come this way, but Kool and the Gang is making me hesitate if I want to spend the money.

I've seen both versions of Van Halen. I enjoyed Van Hagar, but I think Diamond Dave interacts more with the audience.

The one thing that has me ready to buy tickets is that I heard that Wolfgang Van Halen is playing with the band?

If I had it to do over, I would wait in the lobby sipping a cold one until (not so) Kool and the gang finished. :rolleyes:
