 Since some people on here only believe liberals are intelligent and capable of voting...I thought I would point out some well educated, and successful folks who live in the very county he claims is full on intelligent liberals....He make me think that many SNOBS live there, but I am not the kind to sterotype others as some do.  :wink:


       
  • Peter Hawryluk has lived in Zionsville with his wife Ann since 1978, raising two children. Hawryluk a Princeton University graduate is the principal of Dart Controls; Inc., an established technology based manufacturing company located in Zionsville. Previously he held a series of senior level management positions with the General Electric Company to which he joined following his service in the U.S.A.F as an officer.  Hawryluk currently serves as a member of the Zionsville Plan Commission and as a trustee of the REMC Community Fund. In 2009 Hawryluk was appointed to the U.S. Commission for the Preservation of America's Heritage Abroad by President George W. Bush. Recently, his Princeton class honored Hawryluk by being this year's recipient of the Distinguished Achievement Award.

  • Tom Santelli has lived in Zionsville for more than 11 years. Tom has three successful girls, a lawyer, doctor and educator, and is expecting his first grandson in June of this year. Professionally, he is the principal of The Technology Group, LLC,  a think tank creating new products, businesses, services and systems.  Santelli has conducted training in China, helped build plants all over the world, including three state-of-the-art research and development centers. He currently serves as a board member of Morning Dove, Therapeutic riding; The Traders Point Charity Horse Show; and works closely with Noble of Indiana, an organization serving individuals with developmental disabilities to pursue meaningful lives. Tom has received numerous awards including the prestigious "Idea" award from USPS; Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2008; and leading Small Business Award in 2009. Tom's mantra is better, faster, more efficient government serving the needs of the voters at all levels. Tom has degrees in biology, chemistry and business, as well as a MBA in Finance and Operations Research.

  • Wendy Brant, a resident of Zionsville for 52 years, is a dedicated leader in the Zionsville Community. She has served as President of many organizations, including the Boone County Board of Commissioners, Boone County Solid Waste Board, Boone County Drainage Board, Indiana's Coalition for Open Government, Zionsville's Woman's Club and many other organizations. When her husband, Jack, died in 2005 after 46 years of marriage, she withdrew from community activity.  Now urged by her family and friends, and driven by her love of Zionsville, Brant is excited about returning to community service.

  • Chris Brooke has lived in Zionsville for 13 years.  He and his wife Marisa live in the Stonegate neighborhood and have 4 children between them.  The oldest is Terra Dukes, 26, who lives in Zionsville with her son Dylan.  Tyler Dukes, 24, is serving in the United States Navy. Tyler and Bradley Brooke, ages 17 and 15 respectively reside at home with the Brooke's.  A Purdue University graduate, Brooke is presently Senior Vice President at Merrill Lynch.  Brooke is also an internationally published author having written both Wealth Shift and the upcoming book TenacioUS.  He has been featured on numerous national TV and radio programs on the topics of economics and demographic trends. Brooke is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys his leisure time with family and friends.

  • Steve Schanke and his wife Karen moved back to his grandfather's farm in Union Township in 1998. Steve retired from IBM as an engineer in IBM Research, Corporate Strategic Planning, Corporate Real Estate Construction and Site Operations. Steve is a graduate of Purdue with a BS in Engineering Management and a graduate of Mount Saint Mary's University in Emmitsburg Maryland with a Master Degree in managing Not-For-Profit and Governmental organizations.   Schanke has worked for the United Way of Central Indiana Community Service Council, served on the Boone County Area Plan Commission, and now serves on the Zionsville Board of Zoning Appeals.
  • This group of long-term residents and dedicated leaders have built businesses, raised their families, and given their time to numerous causes in the Zionsville community.   Now, they are running to serve you.

  And I bet their are against hourly workers, parking your car and pickup truck in front of your house, keeping your garage door open, not letting you park your boat or RV behind your house, tearing up good black top and putting in brick roads, against property taxes, minimum wage and unions.
