And the Broncos get punked by this horse shit officiating that is ongoing throughout the playoffs. All season long I've seen that call made and it clearly should have been in Denver's favor in this case.

Things are getting chippy though! :icon_twisted:
I agree! The colts always gets this ref!  He sucks!

If these color commentators and play-by-play announcers don't stop genuflecting at the altar of Brady/Belly-Boy and the Patriots, I am going to projectile vomit all over my 55" HDTV!

The only reason there weren't is due to the fact the defenders were going for the ball. . . (Or perhaps the officials are just a bunch of asshat hacks). . .

Is Peyton done now?

If I was a bettin man, I would say he will be back....I don't think he wants to go out like this, but, who knows? I hope not

Well I'm sure you've read the scuttlebutt on the NFL and sports related websites this morning stating that we may have seen the last of him with yesterday's loss.

Of course, he could draw a play from the Brett Favre playbook and come back for another beating next season.    Part of me understands their love for the game and desire to play, but at some point, it become unrealistic from a physical standpoint.  That then causes them to retire after three or four more seasons of getting beat up rather than going out the heroes they desire to be.

The thing is, he finished with some pretty damn good stats:
4th in completions:     395
4th in yards thrown:  4,727
4th in QB rating:        101.5
4th in yards p/game:  295

and

2nd in TD's:    39 (one behind Luck)

So, it is not like he still don't have an enormous ability to play at this level.....it is if he wants to TRY, TRY, TRY again........a long season, with some painful Mondays.

I totally respect him whatever his decision is.

I believe he is done. That look on his face on the sidelines yesterday near the end of the 4th quarter said it all.

That being said, I wouldn't underestimate the influence of Elway on his decision. . . And because of that I expect he will be back for another year.

Shew. . . I thought Indy Fans were a cruel bunch, but they cannot hold a candle to Denver's fans.

After spending some time reading through the comments to a Denver Post opinion article in which the author speculated, (as many have even here), about the fact that Manning needs to "hang it up", I feel like I need a disinfecting shower!  :spooked:

Manning is a big boy and he is a professional quarterback and future hall of fame inductee. I'm sure he will make the right call for his life and his family.

If I had the ability to say anything to him myself, I would tell him this; Do not decide now. Go home, come home. Spend some time with your family, and bring your family to Indianapolis for some period of that time. There are a lot of people here, football fans, and non-football fans, that love you for the individual you are. There is a place for you in Indianapolis; whether it involves football or not. Your time here assures that is the case.

Clear your head, then do what you do; review the tape, take stock of your options, and then see how you feel. And do it in a place as far away from football as you can get; at least for awhile. And stay the hell away from the press.

I surely hope he retires though. He has a future in the sport if he is willing to consider it; of that much I am sure. Offensive coordinator, blah, blah, blah. Maybe not in Indy, (for I am fairly certain Irsay has burned that bridge), but certainly somewhere. . .
