Bears are down by 7 in the second quarter, and the quarterback is toast; Cutler goes to the locker room.

And now another quarterback story; the return of the prodigal son (according to the Irsay family) to Indianapolis.

The 6-0 Denver Broncos, headed by Peyton Manning, will be taking the field on Sunday Night Football this evening, and the local news station is running an hour pre-game show, before the network pre-game show.

The hype is nauseating, but I am very much looking forward to seeing Manning come to the house he built and take his former team to the woodshed!

Call it what you will but karma may very well come due this evening for one side or the other. While I am a football fan, I have to say that I am more of a player fan than any individual team; and Peyton Manning is among my favorites.

I did not believe he could come back from such a serious series of surgeries to be where he is this day. But I also believed the Colts organization owed him some loyalty for that which he demonstrated to the city of Indianapolis. And they failed miserably!

Kick ass Broncos! Kick some major ass!

The Colts played a tremendous defense.  This team is looking more and more like a REAL contender for a championship.

Funny thing though, I found myself rooting for Peyton throughout the game and especially at the end.  I was happy to see the Colts win, but my heart is still with Manning.

I'm glad the Colts knocked them off too, but we may very well see Denver on the AFC side come Super Bowl Sunday.

And as an aside, who the hell would have imagined that the Chiefs would be the sole undefeated team after week 7. :spooked:

I agree!  I think they are still the team to beat.  Manning is perhaps the best to ever play the game, at least at QB.

Well, the Colts lost Reggie Wayne in the process; for the balance of the season.

Who could they bring in to fill the role for the rest of the season?

IF the Colts make the playoffs they'll be one and done; as usual.  :fortune:

All in all, it was a great game to watch, however I spent the day today bleary eyed for the effort.

Watched the whole thing did ya'?  ;D

How could I not? I was stupid enough to turn it on in the bedroom when we went to bed. Sleep was elusive. . .

Sucks going to sleep well after midnight when you have to get up a 0 Dark-thirty!

The Houston Refs are definitely calling plays in Houston's favor over the Colts. They've called them twice for "ineligible receiver downfield" but when the Texans blatantly run into the kicker resulting in a short punt, there is no call!

And that results in touchdown number 2 for the Texans to the Colts zip!

I was out partying tonight.   I heard the Colts were behind big at one point.
